Hehe I see a lot of double white lines leh. Usually situated along congested roads and merging into expressways.

Along Jalan Besar there is a double white line just at the Swee Choon Dim Sum there and traffic always slows to a crawl there.

When entering PIE towards Changi from Bendemeer, there is also a double white line when merging to the expressway.

Entering ECP towards Changi from Rochor, there's also a double white line when merging with the expressway.

Geylang and Sims Ave also has some double white lines. And at a small side road in Tampines which is a bend, the double white lines are in the centre of the road, dividing the lanes for opposing traffic.

Just some I remember. There are more. [:)]

anyway, i told veximan that he have to think safe when he is tkaing test.

when he gets his license, he can do anything as long as it does not endanger other road users.(e.g. Stopping at stop lines.)

Yes yes, taking TP think "Safety First", not commonsense. [:p] Must know how to act... [laugh] Even if you know no cars, must look left look right always check blind spot. Often check mirrors. Keep safe distance from cars in front. Be alert and find chance to change lanes at safe distance and as gradual as possible; dun swerve in. Focus on the road, not the tester. If tester feels that you're a safe driver, high chance he'll pass you.

I applied this principle for my theory tests too and passed. Even though what I observed in reality is otherwise. [laugh]

My own TP was very routine. The tester said nothing except for directions and I said nothing but "Orh." [laugh]

Never mind..next time will get better result....I also passed on 2nd attempt....first time, bcos one learner driver in front taking the same route as me...failed bcos tester said my driving was dictated by the driver in front... [hur][hur]

I told him don't waste my time, grab my result slips and went off....2nd attempt, super heavy downpour, there were abt 10 of us taking the test, all looked super panic, can see private instructors running out, reminding their students to turn on wipers, on headlights, on demister, etc...Funny enough I was feeling pretty relaxed....out i go, at the circuit especially parking area , u can hear all the poles dropping on the floor...lucky for me, everything soon soon, have to thanks my instructor, he taught me not to base on poles when parking but must understand how the wheels turn... [thumbsup][thumbsup] ....out of circuit, first one to come back to centre..tester was stern never smiled just said ."Meet me upstair" ...went up first thing he mentioned was why didn't I drop gear when turning in one of the junction, then he wrote something and passed me the paper and asked me go out and watch video.... [bounce2][bounce2] ...was damned happy...later when waiting for others that passed to come in to watch video, only 2 more came , the rest all failed...one girl was extremely happy or should I say it was kind of crazy...shouting and crying [hur] only later then I realised it was her 10th times and she finally passed.....really must respect her.... [thumbsup]

Yes, need to watch video after passed. The video will feature on road safety, no speeding, no drinking, etc

Long long time ago some 30 over years back before many of you were born, most of the testers would not tell the driver taking the test whether he/she pass/fail the driving until after the driving test and returned to the Testing Centre.

Those time, the % of female passing their driving tests are more then male. Its true.

We were able to distinguish who are the tough testers and those slightly lenient. Once you discovered that a particular tester is testing you at that moment, psychologically, you would tell yourself that the chances are very slim. It all depends on luck.

That time, some females (to all females, no offence please) wore reasonably short skirts or dresses and those 'hum-sup', testers would give chance and close one eye. Well, some passed through their own driving abilities and/or.....and some were not fortunate enough.

probably his instructor ask him to shout out "Check Blind Spot" everytime he checks.

The tester will confirm not deduct your points for failure to check blindspot. Maybe he will deduct points for talking while driving. [sly]

Huh? Issit? You sure? That's where many accidents come about leh...

Now, those females already age 40+ to 50+. No wonder, in general, quite a number of aunties become road hoggers because those "hum-sup" testers gave chance and close 1 eye years back.... laugh.giflaugh.giflaugh.gif

Hi Veximan, anyone of us who is in your situation will be equally disappointed. What is essential for you now is not to be pessimistic over it and tell yourself that you would be able to make it this next time round.

It is important to have confidence in yourself and have no fear even with the tester next to you. Sometimes, passing of driving test can be by luck as it can depends on the mood of the tester. Be courageous and face up to the challenge.

Best of luck to you in your next driving test.

Initial disappointment quite unavoidable. Look at another angle, not only you who cannot pass the first time, there are many who only pass at the second or third, fourth attempt and etc.

It's still the same isn't it?

My tester didn't even say anything. Halfway thru the route he just cut short and told me to take another route and go back to the centre. Reached driving centre, stopped car, he just got out and walked off without saying a word, leaving me there blur blur. Luckily my instructor was waiting there and he told me to quickly follow the tester and go upstairs.

Upstairs, the tester asked if it's my 1st attempt, pointed out some mistakes and just thrust the scoresheet to me and told me to pay $50 and watch video.
