Sq123 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 I don't intend to spruce up my car as yet. Sorry, here's a noob question: does a new Vios come with free mats or carpets or do we have to get them separately? Mine came with carpet mats. But I'm thinking of getting another kind of mat (those like 3M mats) to replace, as the carpet mats gets dirty easily and not so easy to clean. ↡ Advertisement
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 Wow, floor mat also do not come as standard item and need SE to throw in so that they can give lesser gadgets. That is very bad!
Dxone Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 i mean the 3M lookalike floor mat is given by SE. The carpet mat comes with the car.
Daveaha Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 Yes, it does come with the floor mat. My right cup holder is faulty even when I receive the car.... can't open properly. sigh. I'll be fixed on 1k svcing...
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 Wow, cup holder also can spoilt..really lousy quality huh? Guess if Vios is made in Japan then it will be better!
Daveaha Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 Yeah, surely. But since it's a minor thing, i won't complain further. Anyway as like rest said, the cup holder is a bit useless...
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 If I not wrong, Vios still do not comes with the illuminated key ring light which is very useful.

Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 True, some gadgets might be too cheap but it is still good to have those gadgets which exist in most luxury class cars. Just like my car, it maybe cheap but I enjoy all the luxury gadgets which exist in most 2 litre cars like the Auto Headlight function, car is cheaper than most Japanese 1.5 litres cars but enjoying the spacious space and luxury gadgets in most 2 litres cars! Cool!

Legend Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 like wat people say, u need to pay a price for something which u wanna enjoy.
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 (edited) No, my FC is not high as I am getting 12-13km/litre for a 1300KG Car which is consider very good. If you get a good FC for a light car but you are also paying a price for it upfront and indirectly, those money you pay for goes either to the government or car dealer. I can uses those money like $10K more for a Jap car with lower engine capacity compared to a cheaper Korea car to pay for my petrol on my Korean ride which can last me up to 3 years, it is more worth to do so. Important fact is that any Japanese cars come into Singapore will have their horsepower and speed tune down while other makes do not have such restriction including continental or korean cars. My boss who is also a Japanese prefers to drive Japanese cars in the USA/Europe/Japan as their engines are full specs compared to those in Singapore! Babylone Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 A silly question. May i know that the spare tyre rim is same as your sport rim or normal rim?
Toyo 1st Gear May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 FC so good? good for u my friend is not getting good FC. maybe its his driving style
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie May 30, 2007 Share May 30, 2007 Sometimes I also rev to clear out carbon built-up in the engine, you need to maintain a slow and steady driving style when you just collect your car and driving for the running-in period as the ECU is learning your driving style while all your engine pistons and valves are new and not fully lubricated. There are some Rio members also can get 14km/litre for his Manual Rio considering the Rio is heavier than Vios. ↡ Advertisement
