Focusdude Neutral Newbie March 30, 2007 Share March 30, 2007 Yes, we fail to see that we are part of a community. In trying to optimise locally (i.e. for the individual), we compromise on the global optimal (i.e. community) which ultimately is the baseline for individual happiness. As for the issue of not being heard, why don't we look at how we can improve the quality of lives in our own little spheres of influence and then work towards expanding these spheres to include more of the people around us? ↡ Advertisement
Ivan96935sg Neutral Newbie March 30, 2007 Share March 30, 2007 If every car do not tail gate, keep a safe distance from the car infront and just gently cruise along with the flow without excessive acceleration or braking, the traffic will ease out itself. Reason why traffic grind to a halt is because of kia-si drivers keep on stepping brakes or selfish drivers who do not give way to cars changing lanes. well said......SG drivers need to drive more graciously and be more patient. Beanoyip Turbocharged April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 This happens all the time when left lane cars wants to cut into the extreme right. You won't be surprise to see the fastest lane on a jam day is the left lane. I'm not kidding you.

Inimatad 1st Gear April 2, 2007 Share April 2, 2007 Sorry...A bit OT here, have anyone heard abt developments concerning the N-S Expressway. According to LTA, this is still on concept paper and they studying the plans. There were prior plans for an underground expressway from Upp Thomson all the way into Marina South or CBD. Anyone heard or read anything abt this?

The NSE is supposed (if ever) to begin construction next decade.
