For this round:

1) New COE quota kick in which saw quota for cat reduce by > 10%

2) There are still people who did not get their COE for the last 2 rounds.

3) GST will be increase to 7% in July

4) New Vios launch - Will it impact COE price ??????

It seems to me that although COE quota is reduced, but the bids received are reduced by much much more [:p]

I think point no. 1 & 2 should have more effect on the COE results. As read from other car forums, some ppl who booked their cars just after the COE crash have not secure COE yet...and their SE has asked them to top-up.

yah, quite true, but look at the bids received, do not seems to strong to me [laugh]

So maybe better don't agree to top, what if COE drop how?

If agree to top up and COE drop, do we still pay for the top up ???? [confused]

Neutral Newbie

Even with all those factors, I don't forsee a huge increase in premiums for this bidding exercise because most potential buyers would already have jumped into the market when the COE crashed. Basically for the past couple of bidding exercises and the next two.. the companies are just clearing up the backlog and the pressure is already easing off.

My predictions:

CAT A = $14201

CAT B = $15401

CAT C = $1350

CAT D = $950

CAT E = $15501
