Sportster Neutral Newbie May 17, 2007 Share May 17, 2007 (edited) What your uncle said is true. the "x" really ruin the worth of the plate. In the sense that u fa fa fa then being cross out simply mean no wealth loh.. SBB88M will easily command 30k or more if there's a willing buyer, esp it end with M (m for money) When u play/invest in number don ever get one with X or C (hokkien/teochew mean die). Get those plate that most people will like and this translate to the worth of the plate. So can I say I am lucky not to buy it over from him or is it an opportunity gone? Coz he offer me $4.5K at that time. Heard from my uncle that the buyer of his number plate is a richie who has a fleet of cars and put the number he bought on a Ferrari Testarrosa. Sometime back, someone offer to sell me EA50R for $4K. I never take it, opportunity gone. Edited May 17, 2007 by Sportster

That number was sold off 3-4years ago.. it's now on a bently CGT.... as for the price? it was the cost of COE at its high point and when sell off, it's the price of a entry level Jap car

Lengendcf 1st Gear May 18, 2007 Share May 18, 2007 You seem quite well versed in car number plate. My uncle sold his SBB 888 X for $5K. Why is the price so low, is it due to the "X"? Do you think it should worth more? The number is currently on a Ferrari. My uncle claimed that without the "X", he could easily command $10K and more, is it true? If it is SBB777, it will worth more.. Like kena the jackpot.. For 8, should be single digit, followed by 8888 and lastly 88..
Ody_2004 Turbocharged May 18, 2007 Share May 18, 2007 sound that u know the history of this plate.. belong to someone u know?
Ody_2004 Turbocharged May 18, 2007 Share May 18, 2007 "For 8, should be single digit, followed by 8888 and lastly 88.. " I disagree, normally 8888 won't command that much as there's 4 8, anything do with 4 will cos price to be lower.
