Supersonic

A few nice areas to visit:

1. Swan river - you can go for a cruise on Swan River. The last time I was there, there were dolphins swimming alongside our boat.

2. Take a drive through Margaret River wine country - can easily spend a whole day there visiting the vineyards.

3. Visit Freemantle - nice port city, historical sites, excellent seafood

for hotel stay, try to stay in the city area...so that you can go shopping and it is accessible to most places from there.

Some you can consider:

Kings hotel (one of the most value 3.5 star hotel)

Ibis Hotel

Four Seasons hotel (used to be call Acacia hotel - it is at northbridge but they provide free parking)

Aaron Hotel

Criterion hotel

If you got higher budget, you can try sheraton perth hotel, Aarons All suite hotel, Novotel Langley Perth Hotel, Hotel Pacific International Suites Perth

Wow, Monkey Mia is about 6 hrs away from Perth. Unless you have more time in WA, I suggest you should skip this, otherwise it's very tiring before you go home.

Can try your luck in Burswood Casino, and good luck to you.

Can try the 1/2 hour helicopter tour around the city.

If play golf, try The Cut, Kennedy Bay, Secret Harbor.

I love the scene at Scaborough Beach. Can see the Indian Ocean horizon with the air so clean and clear, unlike in Singapore, you'll only get to see the neighboring islands and smoky air....

I think the biggest shopping center in WA is Carousel (not very sure).

Buying a house? Plenty in City of Mandurah. Beautiful place too.

i also think can give monkey mia a miss as it is usually crowded with tourists

yah shd give burswood casino a try...

shd go see some black swans too

indeed Scaborough Beach is something you shouldnt miss...can see some bikini girls too...hahaha..if lucky, some nudies but too bad it is not like bondi beach

I think carousel should be biggest with 247 shops and in late 1990s, they renovated to increase the size. But strange thing is most tourist books and website don't mention about this place [sly] Maybe they reserved it for the locals only [:p]

maybe if buy house, should buy one in melbourne...there more happening [gorgeous][sly]

Yes, city of Mandurah is my choice if I choose Perth as a primary place of residence. Good quality water and it is a nice seaside town. Can ask some of your friend to get a week stay at the white sands resort apartment there for the feel of it. If you like long distance driving, you may like to try the wave rock as well but if you return in the evening, be prepared for a very challenging drive as the sun is directly in front of you. Don't forget to install a GPS guided map as it relieve tention by reducing your chance of getting lost thereby saving time. If the retal company were to charge you, you may consider renting or buying one as you can get a resonably useful set at less than aud$400. With GPS, you can have more places to venture to.

Bayswater car rental... been seeing and using them during my schooldays there!

Best value for money for new Toyota cars.... use this if you dont want Avis Hertz etc.

For accomodation.. check out Best Western chain.. excellent motel modern style for AUD100 per night.

Dont be too adventurous and try cover too much... 3N best bet drive to Mandurah/Margaret River/Augusta/Albany and Return... rest spend in Perth city with vineyards/fremantle/kings park.

Dolphins are no guarantee except in Monkey Mia... dont waste time at Bunbury.

Need anymore info just ask !
