go to onemotoring.com..... i think they give info for scrap value + COE + Parf.... etc etc...

basically, its just Parf + COE residual + body value

remember, there are no such thing as fixed price. you can go to 10 dealers, and all can quote you 10 diff prices.

it all depends on how you bargain for it.

exisitng loan amt is from yr side to bargain for better price from the dealer.

dealer doesnt care abt yr loan.

u should get as high price as possible for yrself, factoring in yr existing loan.

how to find out yr existing loan? call yr bank/finance and ask for full settlement amt. they will tell wat's yr outstanding amt.

I got a few quotes from PI and AD for my OPC. Register in Oct 2005, Lancer non-sports edition, non-sports rim, but with leather seats, remote keyless and alarm. Most of them is offering me 22k-25k. Got an idiot PI got the guts to quote me 17k only. [shakehead][shakehead]

Very much wanted to change the ride to an Axio. But damit, still got 31k loan. Unless i get high loan or top up, its gona costs me abt $700+ for 10 year loan to get the Axio. [dizzy]

A big difference from my current $520 installment with 5 yrs left. Conversion to normal car will cost me abt $13k.

I have did a quick calculation. If i convert my OPC Lancer now + total installment and interest paid, it will cost me about 60k tops. If i do a trade-in and get the normal plate axio....the total figure is at least 90k......hell a lot of difference man. [sweatdrop][sweatdrop][sweatdrop]

So expensive to change ride within the first few years..... [:|][:|][:|]

ya lor....last time i was thinking maybe OPC lose less money......change ride also easier.

WTF, end up still have to lose so much money like a normal car. [furious][furious][furious]

The loss is abt 20k....thats a lot of money to lose for a 1 yr 9 mths old car. Especially when its only an OPC. [shakehead][shakehead][shakehead]

How much you bought your OPC Lancer? Why Axio now?

IF you really want normal plate, just top up the diff and continue driving your Lancer would be a better choice [:p]

I bot my lancer @ 40k, downpayment 4k. So loan 36k lor. That time bor Axio lei.

I also think convert and drive the Lancer better. Makes more sense in $$$$$$.

The longer you keep your car the flatter the depreciation curve. Trying to sell your car within the first 1-3 years of its life, your depreciation is basically in free-fall. I think you have found that out about your car's worth after calling around.

You may get more if you sell privately, but honestly, an Axio isn't that much different function-wise from your Lancer unless you are particular about driving the latest new model on the road all the time. It isn't much much bigger than the outgoing Altis, and it has a fairly mature engine.
