u try pressing both buttons together first. it should beep once/twice and the "sound" should come back

Have you tried whether your alarm still works as in try to unlock the door with the key while the alarm is armed, then open the door. The siren should sound at this point. If it doesn't, maybe you need a new siren.

i have another problem with my alarm. my remote batteries are relatively new. sometimes the alarm can work, sometimes cannot. on a couple of occassions, after arming the alarm, i have problem in disarming it. if i don't use it for several days, it may work again; then it breaks down after several tries. then, i got to wait for a few more days before i can use it. can anyone tell me what's wrong or where to repair it?

mine also lidat. so use key lor..... [laugh]

 

and best thing my car has the auto boot function. but the rear of the car do not have the keyhole to insert a key so i have to always open the boot from the driver's seat there.
