Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 How the hell did he become a referee for EPL?! Nim peh chao chao can referee better than this moron! That was a stupid penalty to be awarded to Chealsea! ↡ Advertisement
Nutty 4th Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 I was fuming when the penalty was awarded. Apparently, I think he dished out a 2nd yellow card to either Terry or Essien, but failed to send them off. This must be the poorest performance from a referee so far this season. Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie August 20, 2007 Author Share August 20, 2007 Fokk man! That 2nd yellow card seemed to be for Essien. He put his hands on his head as if he was being sent off. His facial expression was in shock and disbelief. Clearly it is a major c0ck up by Styles. But the ironical thing was that he later pointed at Terry as if the yellow was meant for him. He told the 4th official he flashed the 2nd yellow card as a confirmation of Terry's yellow card. WTF! Didn't he show it to Terry face to face earlier on?! KNN, Styles should show himself the red card for the rest of season.

Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie August 20, 2007 Author Share August 20, 2007 I felt that Torre's goal is the best I have seen since the start of this season. That stupid penalty is a great disgrace. Don't tell me Abrahamovich also signed the ref.

Nutty 4th Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 Another interesting scene. Moments after Rob blew the whistle for the "foul" by Finnan, Drogba was in possesion of the ball inside the box. He was damn pissed off by Rob for not waving play on. Apparently, none of the Chelsea players think that it was a penalty.

Nutty 4th Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 Reminded me of Liverpool Legend Robbie Fowler... That year, he also won a UEFA Fair Play award for admitting that he had not been fouled by David Seaman at Highbury after a penalty had been given. After unsuccessfully trying to convince the referee to change his decision about the penalty Fowler took it tamely and Seaman saved, the ball rebounded however and Jason McAteer tucked it home. I will not expect many players to do the same nowadays, be it Malouda, Lampard or even the current Liverpool squad.

Kingcopa 1st Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 this is what mourinho said "I have a naive team, they are naive because we do not have divers, we do not have violent people we do not have nasty tackles. We do not have people diving into swimming pools, Chelsea is a naive team. It is a pure team, that is my opinion." "In the box there is no advantage law, if the referee sees a foul he gives a penalty. So when Malouda is kicked from behind as he lets to ball run to Drogba, then it is a penalty. "It is to be discussed by commentators, just like they discussed the goal we lost the Champions League semi-final here by two years ago. "As for the title race, it is too early to judge opponents. Manchester United have two points after their defeat today, but even if they had zero points I would say that they are serious contenders for the title, these things do not influence me." Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie August 20, 2007 Author Share August 20, 2007 Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories. Robbie Fowler truely deserved the award. He is the epitome of soccer players. I hate that sickening look on Lampa's face when he scored that penalty. I totally lost my respect for Chelsea. Nutty 4th Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 As usual, Moanrhino has selective visual impairment. He claimed that "I have not really seen the penalty properly, only from 30 metres away on the sideline" Apparently, he also like to deceive himself with the remarks below. 'I have a naive team, they are naive because we do not have divers, we do not have violent people we do not have nasty tackles. We do not have people diving into swimming pools, Chelsea is a naive team. It is a pure team, that is my opinion'
Thermodynamics Neutral Newbie August 20, 2007 Author Share August 20, 2007 So furious on a monday morning? LOL! Just venting my frustration of that Robber Styles. I didn't bet on the match either. But I felt Liverpool deserved the win much more than Chelsea. It' such a shame Liverpool got punished by a bad decision by Styles. It's really stupid. He was also too card-happy for my liking and it made the match high-tensioned.
Nutty 4th Gear August 20, 2007 Share August 20, 2007 To be fair, Liverpool was impressive in the first half. But in the second half, it's back to the good ol' days where they started to pump long balls up the field again. Wonder why they can't keep the ball on the ground. The penalty would be of no relevance had players like Alonso, Risse, Gerrard and Kuyt zero-ed their shooting. They would have made nice rugby conversions that day.
