Paddie 3rd Gear October 3, 2007 Share October 3, 2007 Well numbers aren't everything. Maybe the SX4's engine only has 102bhp but it feels quite lively, certainly no worse than say a 110bhp Nissan Sunny or 107bhp (?) Mazda 3. ↡ Advertisement
macrosszero Turbocharged October 4, 2007 Share October 4, 2007 It obviously depends on how much mass it has to move. So horsepower isn't everything.

Schmi Clutched October 5, 2007 Share October 5, 2007 I test drove it this week. The power is adequate. The Sales Exec encouraged me to push it and it picked up decently. Comparable to 1st gen Vios IMHO. And it seemed to handle decently despite the 'comfort' 65 series Dunlop tyres. Certainly it is not the prettiest 'Cat A' Asian car. I think that accolade belongs to the Hyundai Avante (again IMHO). But the SX4 sedan is not completely ugly either. Definitely beats the new Vios in the looks department. I think think the SX4 Sedan scores in four areas: 1. Price - right now $57500 plus 3 free servicing including parts and labour 2. Space - tall cabin feels spacious and the boot is quite big. 3. Interior - only the Latio (don't know about Mit EX) can compete with the SX4's interior looks. (What's more, it has climate control compared to the SX4 hatch which lacks this feature) Avante could have equalled it but unfortunately Komoco decided to install an aftermarket audio system which looks out of place compared to the factory fitted item in their brochure. 4. Quality. The fit and finish is good. One could be quite happy with thise car. I'm thinking very seriously about getting it.

Rickster 5th Gear October 5, 2007 Share October 5, 2007 Small wheels = better pickup + fuel effciency + less road noise. So, the smaller the merrier

Dada Neutral Newbie October 5, 2007 Share October 5, 2007 (edited) Compare the difference between the suzuki SX-4 and this model from Fiat. It's called the Fiat Sedici. I think the SUV looks so much nicer than the SX-4 and it's a very nice hatchback/suv. Very sexy.. Edited October 5, 2007 by Dada
Rickster 5th Gear October 5, 2007 Share October 5, 2007 When u r buying a SX4 sedan, you are actually saying goodbye to whatever machoism that exists in a car liao
Schmi Clutched October 6, 2007 Share October 6, 2007 I absolutely agree with you. If one needs a car to project one's 'machoism' the SX 4 sedan is not the car for him. If one couldn't care less whether people think he is macho or not, this car makes good sense. ↡ Advertisement
