Yes, visited Honda plant in Malaysia last year organised by SHC. Quite interesting to see the process but some area of the factory is classified eg. engine assembly.

I visited the McLaren factory in England as a student. It was more like a test lab than a factory. Super clean and very spacious. Very few cars.

My wife visited the Ferrari factory in Italy...also super clean and neat.

holden and mitsubishi in adelaide in australia.

holden is automated factory ..... a lot of robot arms and less human for manual assby.

output rate a less a hour a car . ard 600~700 cars per mth

so very fast. cos most things are sub-con out. V clean environment. panels all made outside. oni assbly and welding is automated in house.

all models all made in aust. opel is sister company

misubishi is opp.... engine from japan import.

body all self made in aust. own sheet metal stamping manufact.

very dirty factory. slow production ard 60 cars per mth.

oni make mitshibishi 360 (3.5litre), and another model forgot. :P

rest evo lancer all imported.

---ahhaha one thing i ask , why not those 2 litre cars made too?

reply: those small children learner cars are not in demand in aust.

we are oni focus on family car. and family car are not below 3 litres. hahahah

Its the Old Ford Factory in Bukit Timah lah!laugh.gif

juz lotsa old stuff they labelled as historical.

heehee...

its a little known fact..gossip.gif

tat Singapore DID hav its own car assembly factory back then,

juz before WWII.rifle.gif

was historical due to the site of the surrender chambers of the Brits to the Japs back then.shocked.gif

deserted for the longest time..nosebleed.gif

rumoured to be haunted..dead.gif

didn't "see" nor "felt" anythin while i was workin there.confused.gif

its redone very nicely & a museum..well ..kinda of..now.Posted Image
