Malaysian Trade Minister Azmin Ali said the move was a "strategic decision by Porsche signifying its commitment to build a long-term presence in" Southeast Asia. Albrecht Reimold, a board member of the Volkswagen-owned brand, said the new plant, being established in collaboration with a local partner, was a "standalone project and modest in size and capacity". But he added that "it signals our willingness to learn and adapt to specific local market conditions". Should be interesting, but many questions abound: How will the QC be? Yahoo report : Foxconn plant closed in China after workers brawl A Foxconn factory in China, which assembles Apple's iPhones, has shut down for an indeterminate period after about 2,000 workers were involved in a brawl at a dormitory. The plant was closed Monday and it is not clear how long the shutdown will last. Foxconn said the trouble started with a personal fight that blew up into a brawl. But some people said they had heard factory guards had beaten workers, sparking the uproar. These accounts could not be independently verified. The unrest is the latest in a string of incidents at plants run by Foxconn. The company has faced accusations of poor working conditions and mistreatment of workers at its operations in China, where it employs about 1 million people. hi all, I'm seriously looking into adding a cd-changer for my factory fitted Rhapsody (double-din) head unit. Not sure how to go about doing it, besides approaching AD, which will be very ex, I think. Will XinZhong carry such items? Alternatively, I notice a number of UK sites selling interface adaptor kit for other changer brands. Any recommendations, appreciated !

Many car manufacturers are finding ways to reduce their products' emission levels. For Volkswagen, it is going green upstream by taping on solar power in their manufacturing process. Volkswagen has just opened a huge solar park to provide power for their US plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The plant produces a version of the Passat that is exclusive to the North American market. The solar facility is expected to produce 13,100 megawatt hours per year thanks to the 33,600 crystal solar modules. The solar power generated will provide about 12.5% of the electricity required when the plant is operating at full capacity. Frank Fischer, CEO and chairman of Volkswagen Chattanooga, said, "This facility is a key part of our 'Think Blue Factory' programme and further proof of Volkswagen's worldwide commitment to environmental protection. Once again, we are setting standards in efficient, sustainable production." Volkswagen's latest commitment to environment might help to pacify the Greenpeace activists who recently protested against the carmaker's stance on the climate outside the Vienna car show.

Been there last Saturday, about 90% shop open liao. Few under renovation eg. Polo Ralph Lauren,Tommy Hilfiger,Versace.... Had visited the factory outlet located at Las Vegas and Tokyo and the oneat Johor I must said had meet the expection;Not bad at all. Quite pack as I went on Saturday, ppl are q-ing to go into Burberry & Coach so no chance to see how cheap the price but manage to get 2 pairs of Jeans from Levis at RM$138 for the first pair and 50% off for the 2nd.Will revisit there b4 CNY to buy more new year clothing. Although very crowded but still ok as the whole area there is big,you don't feel as pack as in Vivo City or Nex;Carpark also very big .IMO: Should be safe as there is a police post near the entrance.Good place to spend a whole afternon there.

The new BMW 1 Series as instrument, the BMW plant Regensburg as stage - this is the first music (industrial) film of the BMW Group. A collaboration of the BMW Group, Jonas Imbery (Gomma Records), Mirko Borsche (Bureau mirko borsche) and The Brainstormclub. The soundtrack was exclusively generated out of the noises of the new BMW 1 Series. "check my machine" is a film project which has been created in a close collaboration between the BMW Group's Electronic Media Department and creative Munich artists Jonas Imbery (Gomma Records) and Mirko Borsche (Bureau mirko borsche). The Brainstormclub and Eyetrip are responsible for production. The soundtrack, composed by Jonas Imbery, could also be played in the world's most popular clubs. "The appeal of the work was to develop a viable, independent, recognisable composition that only makes use of vehicle sounds, such as the blinkers, GPS voice, closing noises, seat belts, doors, safety alarm, to name but a few. The visual resolution at the end shows clearly that the percussive elements such as the bass synthesizer, the vocals and the melodies were produced by the vehicle itself." I noticed that there is a pin-hole camera-like gadget fitted on the wind screen near to the rear view mirror of Merc, Beemer, Camry, etc. expensive vehicles. I tried surfing their websites and MCF for more info on this gadget but could not find any. Bros driving Merc, Beemer, Camry, etc. could you please share more on this gadget? Is this really a camera or some driving assistance sensor. If it's the former, does this cam only serve to record images seconds before an accident or it records 24/7? Any other topics on this also?
