Alternatively, I notice a number of UK sites selling interface adaptor kit for other changer brands. Any recommendations, appreciated !
  3. I noticed that there is a pin-hole camera-like gadget fitted on the wind screen near to the rear view mirror of Merc, Beemer, Camry, etc. expensive vehicles. I tried surfing their websites and MCF for more info on this gadget but could not find any. Bros driving Merc, Beemer, Camry, etc. could you please share more on this gadget? Is this really a camera or some driving assistance sensor. If it's the former, does this cam only serve to record images seconds before an accident or it records 24/7? Any other topics on this also?

  9. Just something to share. Today, after parking my car, I found a car with looks like new set of tyres. On closer inspection, it looks like the direction is wrong. Isn't that so dangerous?? Instead of cutting water, it may go over it and aquaplane. Doesnt the tyre shop where that was installed check?? What kind of tyre shop would risk the life of the occupants in the car?? Guess noone should take it for granted that all tyre shop will do a good job. anyway, I remember on a previous post here where a car had an accident, someone mentioned the tyres were pointing the wrong direction. If this car were to skid and crash, will it be the fault of the driver? Hmm........
  10. Dunno wat the driver is trying to do??
  11. ST 15 May DON'T try cutting into the bus lanes from June 2. You may be caught on camera - from a bus. Ninety buses on 12 services will have cameras fitted on the front to help the authorities catch errant driver violating the bus lane rule, which is to ensure buses get an uninteruppted run down their lanes. The buses with cameras will ply both the city areas and the heartlands, on services which cover the new areas designated as full day bus lanes, said LTA on Thursday. Some cameras have already been fitted on SBS buses on a trial basis last year. Previous cameras on buses, introduced in the 1990s, proved unreliable and traffic wardens were then needed to enforce the bus lane rule. Those motorists who are caught flouting the bus-lane rule will be fined $130. Eleven stretches of road in the city, which are already designated normal bus lanes - operating only in the morning and evening - will be converted to full day bus lanes. Full day bus lanes are in operation from 7.30am to 8pm on weekdays and Saturdays, except on public holidays. All the new full-day bus lanes are in the Central Business District and include stretches on Grange Road, Bencoolen Street, South Bridge Road, Victoria Street, New Bridge Road, Hill Street, Robinson Road, Shenton way, Fullerton Road and Collyer Quay.
  12. M'sia considers CCTVs in police patrol cars IPOH - POLICE mobile patrol vehicles may soon be fitted with closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras to aid in crime busting and to curb bribery, said Inspector-General of Police Musa Hassan. The idea, he said, was to have the 3,000-plus police patrol vehicles linked in stages to the control centres at Bukit Aman and state contingents. Personnel manning the control centres would be able to view the footage live and keep track of every movement and action of the mobile patrol personnel, he told reporters after closing a course on mobile police practices at the General Operations Force training centre in Ulu Kinta near here on Monday. Tan Sri Musa said the project was still in the planning stage and a proposal had been sent to the Home Ministry and Economic Planning Unit for feedback. He added that several police vehicles in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor had been fitted with CCTV devices for test runs. Earlier, in his speech,Tan Sri Musa said the public had lodged complaints of mobile patrol personnel slacking when on duty, projecting a negative image of the force. 'Once implemented, the in-car CCTV devices would prevent bribery and all kinds of abuse,' he said. 'Whatever action the mobile patrol personnel take must be in front of the cameras. This is to ensure they give good service. This is the modern world now where we can monitor everything electronically.' He said the cameras would also allow two or three patrol vehicles responding to a crime scene to capture the incident from different angles. - THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK http://www.straitstimes.com/Latest%2BNews/...ory_227400.html
  13. dear MCF-ers, for those of you who had fitted the GruppeM on your TC cars, can I ask if there is any noticeable improvement in performance, or is it just a piece of useless decor with perhaps some audio entertainment and when rev your engine. This thing looks nice, not cheap though. Kam sia!
  14. Dear bros, I just changed my car to a Honda Ody. As I'm trading in my current car, I'll be transplanting the current speakers to my brother's car. However, I'm thinking of keeping the sub, but I wonder if it can fit into the car as the boot space is small. Btw, can any bros suggest how to improve the OEM setup that comes with the ody as the Hu is integrated compared to my current car. Thanks in advance.
  15. I've noticed that new Honda car models come with factory fitted copper grounding wires. Both my dad's Oddy and my 1.8FD Civic comes with these groundings. I'd like to know how about other Japanese makes or even Conti makes especially newer models. Cos I noticed some Conti cars dun have any. Looks like the engineers at Honda know their stuff. Compare Japanese makes to Conti makes, the Japanese seems to have better eletrical/electronics reliability.
  16. Anyone fitted? What's the respond? Any improvement interm of FC and power? Thanks... Here's the explanations: The ADM Tuning Box allows us to custom tune your air/fuel ratio to match the engine modification. The installation can be discrete as we cut and splice only one wire to the airflow sensor and when it is switched off, the factory diagnostics will not be able to read or see it. Whereas other products are more intrusive as more ecu wires need to be tapped and can be spotted by the factory diagnostics. While it does not have any display, we have the ability to tune 128 points. While the stock ecu has some compensating facilities, it is used mainly to tune the air/fuel ratio for emission control or 14.7 to 1 or Stoichiometric ratio, a requirement due to the catalytic converter or CAT. However, while Stoichiometric ratio is great for emission control, it is not ideal for good engine response. The stock ecu does not retune itself for modification to components such as the intake or exhaust etc. As the ADM Tuning Box allows for customized tuning to match your modification, you can further improve the performance gains of your enhancements. Key Benefits * Gives Improved Throttle Response * Can be tuned for Improved Fuel Consumption * Increased Engine Power & Torque * Customized Tuning of ECU to Match Engine Modification. * Discrete and is Easily Removed * Priced at $489
