Milgram Neutral Newbie October 18, 2007 Share October 18, 2007 Hi all, Can some expert(s) list down the GENUINE mods (those that REALLY increase performance) we need to do before putting in a piggyback ECU and tuning please? So far, this is what I have been told works: (1) Change to a good performance exhaust system (2) Change to a lightened flywheel & clutch system (3) Change to a lightened crank pulley Anything else to add to the list? I was told that the following things that people commonly do, does nothing substantial for performance: (A) Cold air intake (B) Air charger © Grounding Anything else to add to this list? Thanks! ↡ Advertisement

Dwoon 1st Gear October 18, 2007 Share October 18, 2007 If you're doing re-tuning, might as well get those open pod with CAI, which has a larger than stock diameter inlet tube. Install manifold spacers/insulators for cooler air intake. Install bigger fuel pump / fuel pressure regulator.

Zoner Clutched October 22, 2007 Share October 22, 2007 Intake---Close pod/open pod. Increase in piping diameter.Throttle Body also... Header---4-1/4-2-1 (depending on ur requirement) Exhaust---You know what's this and what to do with it The most basics but the most hard to find complement with each other. Got to play around with individual combination.
Kwongwing Neutral Newbie October 22, 2007 Share October 22, 2007 sorry to OT abit... i was speaking to the tuner of h****** the other day as he said that a fully tuned car with stock parts is not much diff frm one with all the above mods... any pros can verify?? There will be a difference! But performance would be naturally be further enhanced with other mods - most significant I believe with a conversion to an open-pod air intake system.
