i back to good old philips again.. since NB broken...

If during installation of bulb, your finger was holding onto the glass area of the bulb. Oil on your finger will stain the glass surface of the bulb and caused it to fail early.

 

Yup best not to touch the glass. If have to, make sure ur fingers are clean

osram is slightly a little brighter than philips i feel.. but u wont really notice the difference. its a philips no matter wad

Night Breaker was good, unfortunately mine lasted 6 months. Have reverted to bulb supplied by agent. I always leave my lights to auto.

However, I did change a couple of H11 fog bulbs..seems to last only a yr or 2 when compared to headlights ...

Sama sama... mine blew one and within a month the next. so during the last philips sale, bought the extreme and installed myself. My last set of NB was installed by the vendor who sold me. I was never so disappointed that they blew so fast.

best is to install bulbs yourself so u can take the necessary precautions like not touching the glass part with your fingers. you think some installers give two hoots about that?

i think is the design/make of the NB leh.. sometimes.>> even install properly ..NB still dont last one

yes, heard that the NBs are not very lasting. dun buy. waste ur money.

 

those $19 bulbs can last even longer than these ohmigod bulb.

installed: 18 Jul 09

one side failed: 29 Nov 09

lasted: ~4 months

 

changed both back to previous bulbs.

verdict: give Osram NB a miss!

Personally have bad experience with osram bulbs too...bought osram cool blue and become cool BLEW within a year...looks like osram got quality issues...

Mine too lasted only abt 4 months with usage abt 2 hrs per day.

 

Was installed by the CMI shop boy who was so inexperienced he cud not even remove my standard wiper blade. Bulbs bought from a shop at MacPherson.

 

My previous Philips VP lasted about 3 years (same usage as above) & was still working when I sold the car.

 

Now Im back with Philips premium & maybe next time I try Xtreme.
