It's not really a lot to rise an eyebrow. But if you are getting a supercar, then bring a better bag. Hope that help in answering you.

Cybertron Neutral Newbie November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 Is it really a good option to pay full for ya car? Supposedly if your car loan of 60k for 7 years at 3%, the overall interest is 21% over 7 years or shorter say 3 years. If you can invest this 60k, which gives you 10% annually on average, you probably have more liquidity, and you might gain more over time? If ya dun think ya can get returns of this 60k more than ya loan interest you paying, then by all means full settle the car.
Patience Clutched November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 lets say the SE still black face...can i approach another SE supposing that i really want to get that particular brand of car?
Patience Clutched November 14, 2007 Share November 14, 2007 some of the bro ar correct,it depend on how much u ar paying 4 the car,,,but one thing 4 sure the salesman will not b happy bcause there be no bank or finance rebate 2 them n pls don`t let the salesman know u ar paying cash until the final moment but even if u let the SE know at the final moment ur not gettin a loan, the SE will still tell u either pay a higher car price or get a loan right? its not as though u can get the car at the lower price w/o a loan right? Bro, dun believe in the myth bcos IRAS got better things to do I'd always paid for cars in full settlement (I am very very poor so I hate debts and cannot afford interest over long period of time). Maybe I was lucky but I have been paying in full w/o penalty and black face from SE right from my CO's first C200, to her current CLK Cabrio and my own Suzuki GV. The authorities never disturb me Probably bcos they got no time for small fry like me Unless you're one dodgey fellow who evade tax for some time, IRAS will not kar jeow you Edited November 15, 2007 by Chickenfarm

You think IRAS so free just to monitor you just becos you buy a car and pay in full? If you are not a HARD CORE case of evading taxes they will not purposely go out to catch you! Unless of course you are also making curry puffs and selling 5000 pieces a day at $1 each but tell the taxman that you make little or no profit in your business!
