Evo X loses out in straight line speed but slightly makes up for it with better cornering abilities.

 

the SST wins the quarter mile but i reckon the 0-100 will be slower if not same as the 5MT. The SST suffered form the sluggish start due to the launch control. i think the engineers were probably afraid that the 280ps output may damage the SST if standstill launches are done frequently.

 

I saw the whole vid featuring the IS-F as well. it was sublime under the hands of dori dori. and the sound it produces will wet your pants. can roughly tell the 8 speed autobox quite good too. and it looks gorgeous in white.

 

toyota's launch unit was in blue and i thought it looked horrid. but not in white...

I cant seem to locate the century sprint of the evo x sst version. most mags ive seen claims a 4.5 - 5.2s timing. Wonder which is the accurate one.

yup many rides, i think even the smart car can outrun the evo/ carrera on a short drag but gg ard track and terrain is a different ball game.

Surprising that the scoobie had some trouble around the corners. Skyline coupe is last as expected. The SST can be considered a sports sedan with more emphasis on the sedan part rather than the sports.

AM I the only one that prefer the new X. Sure it maybe isn't as fast compare to the old one. But the Styling & more refine interior more than make up for it.

 

BTW, its my target for the next car. Then again, when I eventually change my ride, maybe XI is already out,(with maybe minor tweak & bumpers change), knowing how fast Mitsubishi roll out their Evolution models.
