good luck..with the singapore gvt expanding the range band, sgd should rise further..

how u keep them? through banks? fx platform? cold hard cash?

exchange rates are not singular factor of sgp gvt. they can mess around with their secret basket and trading band, but other gvt also can do otherwise. nothing is absolute, so for your case fx trading is the differential that matters. i used to do fx, for small amount. as the amount get larger, i see the risk reward vs timing not worth my effort. like most forumer said above, spot and forward trading is definitely more profitable if you are good. but these days, i just do other instruments and merely have the foreign cash for my initial landing purposes in future should the matrix become unstable.

its just my case, i am not suggesting anything here since i am a rookie. when i travel to different country, i open foreign account and have those cash deposited in the in-situ bank and gain interest there. using those global link services provided by some banks like scb and hsbc, i can remote control those account from any where in the world.

79 maybe coming...

yankees are happy with cheap dollars so I do agree that we may see 79.

For me, as long as I buy low sell high, I can't be too wrong. Even if it drops to 60, I will still be going on holidays, but not to Japan definitely. [laugh]

position trading is more relaxing, kinda like wait for durain to drop. [laugh] [laugh]

Think I will wait for fibre to reach 1.41 before I sell again.

I would rather you keep AUD instead of CAD. The other two look fine to me

individual preference i guess. sama sama commodity based currency with 30+million population on a land million times bigger than the matrix.

i like it there and i know the place as i used to stay there for a while.

but you are right, AUD is great too should i decide to land there.

I believe it is safer to trade with ECN Brokers than market-makers

In case money not enough, look for logical platform, not those where you are hoping to trade with the platform (not regulated by the market-makers)

Never greedy enough to attempt more than the maximum contract that can be handled (sometimes only a million is the maximum)

Do not be a time-keeper trader (may not be rewarding for the overtime)

fully agree. alot of marketing publicity from bucket shop these days and really sad to see retailers jump in the bandwagon for CFD thinking that they are matched on spot. little did they know that a single stop hunting algorithm will wipe their stops clean clean swee swee.

USD will still be around for sometime. its always great to put a little bit on the opposite side of what retailers are thinking.

i need to know what's ur opinion on the market now

My opinion?? That's not important and that won't make you money. Infact, one should hear less of other people's opinion if one want to be a good forex trader

What is important is what Mr. Market tells you on the chart. I never trade based on my opinion. I trade based on what the Market says at that moment.

I am a swing trader, so I am not concern on long term currency moves.
