I find, so far IMO, both ST115 & 712 grip wise is on par, both in the wet & dry.

ST115 feels a bit harder due to the stiff side wall (good thing as it comes with rim guard) & 712 a bit on the soft side.

ST115 was quiet (rolling) when new but it gets slightly nosier later. 712 not as quiet as the ST115 (when new) & becomes very 'vocal' when being pushed hard around corner, ST115 don't.

Hi,

Its not gonna make too much difference if the profile (65%) does not change much.

overall difference is 13mm (wheel diameter), which is not going to affect the speedometer that much. as such, the circumference is increased by 40mm or 2% only.

just my 2 cents worth

Hi,

I had the kumho previously but realised that it's hard to the effect that MY tyres does not withstand extreme "torture" on the track, small cracks appeared and small bits and pieces came off (on the groove / rolling surface)...... I had to change them. I have been using them for 1 year before my last track session (the tyres' first track session).

Having said that, I guess the tyres are quite good during normal driving or sporty (non-extreme, i.e. track) driving conditions......

I think 2% is significant. Should try not to go over 1% from stock.
