understand this

1/ glass is not a solid but a solidified liqiud in crystallined state due to temperature. under high temp, it will reduce itself into true liquid phase.

2/ front screen r laminated glass - u hv seen enuff shows of pple falling onto car roof, front screen smash but hold in 1 pc.

3/ sides usually tempered safety glass.

once hit will glass drop or just crack line glass d not drop or drop later or crack line become longer n longer.

if front screen kena stone, depends on mass of object flying at it, total speed (it's flying speed + ur driving speed gg at opp direction), both form the newton law.

not necce will shatter. but if hit may hv webbies which will slow expand under stress.

safety glass behave differently. will shatter on impact into smaller pc of crystals but without sharp edges.

how to see the glass need to replace or can be repair.

when shatter, it's the end. only 1 option.. sell the car... hahaha, replace lor.

some insu need to pay $107 to replace.

most insurers require u to pay a token sum. $107 is really not enuff to pay for a replacement.

which insu hv 0 excess which also incl window film and unlimited replace?

dunno
