  1. Anyone got stuck on PIE last evening for more than an hour and half? A few of us in the team did so, no thanks to someone who swerved out at the last minute, causing an accident that required a huge cleaning-up effort from the authorities. Thanks to SG Road Vigilante, we now know what caused the accident which happened at PIE's Steven Road exit in the direction of Jurong, at 630pm. While the accident itself didn't cause any serious injury, it is obvious that the Mazda 3 driver was at fault. According to the comments online, it does look like he or she was trying to avoid a frontal collision in his/her own lane by swerving into lane 2 but that unfortunately meant that the 2 motorcyclists that were lane-spliting, had to fall due to such a move. Kudos to both the tipper truck and the Malaysian van for being reactive to what was happening in front of them!
  2. Poor chap! Now u know why when we see these tippers, siam faster than superman
  3. Any idea on how to protect the front end of car from stone chips? Any suggestions where and how its done?

  5. Recently i traveled behind a truck and the wind screen was hit by a stone. I believe it was from the truck. Size of crack is about a 5cent coin. I can live with it. I have comprehensive coverage. Wind screen is covered 100%. Question is, if I go ahead with the repair or replacement, do you think my insurance premium will increase next year ? Thanks.
  6. I was doing some work today in a family staying in punggol. This family is from neigbourhood asian country ( i will not say from where, juz in case people thought we look them down), then we had a conversation like this.... Me - so now you are PR or citizen here? They - Oh, we got our citizenship already. But we will be migrating to Australia next year.. Me - huh? migrating? U mean give up citizenship here? They - No lah, we take up Australia PR first. Me- Then your flat here how? (is a 4 room flat in Punggol) They - We will rent out lor, then when we get citizenship in Australia we will sell this flat. Me- KNNBCCB in my heart, we complain hdb not enough, they buy our flats and sell to make money or rent out to make money to support their lives in Australia! How many these kind of FT we will still be bringing in???
  7. hi, My Jazz's skyroof got hit by a stone @ the expressway (catapult from another car to mine) - luckily, Insurance covers it as windscreen, hence, NCD will not be affected; however, my plan only allows authorized workshops. My approach is to claim Insurance for the windscreen and pay out from my pocket for the dented bonnet. While doing the bonnet at the same authorized workshop is not necessary, it is preferred as I can get everything settled at one place but that said, any recommendation will be welcomed. Could some kind soul provide inputs on which of the following authorized workshops - preferably one that you have tried - would be great to do my skyroof and bonnet? Also, what are the things I should look out for and questions should I ask to check on the workshop? Some of my concerns are 1) Workmanship - for the skyroof, if it will leak and for the bonnet, after knocking back and spray, will the paint color be the same. 2) Quality of the skyroof - if it is original and if not, the UV and sunscreen, would it be as good as the original? Thanks in advance. ----------------List of Workshops----------------------- Ah Lim Motor Company Address : BLk 10, Ang Mo Kio Autopoint,Industrial Park 2A, #01-09 ,Singapore(568047) Car City Auto Centre Pte Ltd Address : BLk 9006, Tampines Street 93, #01-198 ,Singapore(528840) Cheng Hoe Motor Service Address : BLk 1019, Yishun Industrial Park A, #01-374 ,Singapore(768761) Cheng Hoe Motor Service Address : BLk 10, Ang Mo Kio Autopoint,Industrial Park 2A, #01-04 ,Singapore(568047) Ever Sen Auto Service Address : BLk 3022A, Ubi Road 1, #01-49 ,Singapore(408716) Falcon-Air Auto Service Address : BLk 176, Sin Ming drive,Sin Ming Autocare, #01-06 ,Singapore(575721) Falcon-Air Auto Service Address : BLk 9006, Tampines Street 93, #01-200 ,Singapore(528840) Falcon-Air Auto Service Address : BLk 1, Pandan Loop, #01-08 ,Singapore(128119) K. ONE STONE

The Indian With One Testicle There once was an Indian who had only one testicle and whose given name was 'Onestone'. He hated that name and asked everyone not to call him Onestone. After years and years of torment, Onestone finally cracked and said,' If anyone calls me Onestone again I will kill them!' The word got around and nobody called him that any more. Then one day a young woman named Blue Bird forgot and said, 'Good morning, Onestone.' He jumped up, grabbed her and took her deep into the forest where he made love to her all day and all night until Blue Bird died from exhaustion. The word got around that Onestone meant what he promised he would do. Years went by and no one dared call him by his given name until A woman named Yellow Bird returned to the village after being away. Yellow Bird, who was BlueBird'scousin, was overjoyed when she saw Onestone. She hugged him and said, 'Good to see you, Onestone.' Onestone grabbed her, took her deep into the forest, and did the same to Yellow Bird what he did to Blue Bird he made love to her all day, all nite, all of next day and nite and the following day..and following nite but YellowBird didn't die! | | | Why ??? | | | | | | | | | | | | | | come on think... | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | OH, come on... take a guess !!! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Think about it !!! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | You're going to love this !!! | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Everyone knows... | | | | | | | | | | | | You can't kill Two Birds | | | | | | | | | | | | with OneStone!!! | | | | | |

So along the same line of derivation, what happened to New Orleans is also a Karma to USA? Shut the hell up, sharon 'jack.a.s.s' stone...dun open your mouth and sprout nonsense, go open your legs and show your cxxt, that's what you are good at only. But I doubt anyone wanna see a 50 years old cxxt now.
  11. I think v few cars hold their value well nowdays unlike the the past where Toyota, Honda etc can still be sold at good values. Nowadays seems like 3 year old cars are sold close to scrap values esp the outdated models & looking that sgcarmart, it seems harder & harder to sell 2nd hand cars cos Singaporeans all want 1st hand spanking new cars. Dont believe? Just give a call to a dealer to find out what is ur car's trade in value. Certain exotic cars like coupes, cabriolets, sports cars appear to hold their values better but I suspect not easy to find a buyer of those cars. Whats your take on this trend?

  15. Hi all, Yesterday I was driving along the main road (not 100% sure if it's called EuTongSen or outram rd), but I was coming from city hall direction, stopping at a junction opposite people's park shopping centre (infront of Chinatown point), waiting to turn right and go toward CTE from there. While approaching the traffic junction, slowing down....a Unidentified Flying Object flew from my right and dropped right onto my bonnet, causing a big dent. Initially, I thought it was a big fruit that was dropped from the trees....but my wife was with me and she shouted "Wah! how come got such a big stone!?!?" And there was no big trucks/tippers in sight! Then we proceeded to turn right and stop right below the overhead bridge connecting OG and people's park and examined the damage. Big dent + scratch. I went back to the scene of crime, trying to find out what happened but I couldn't find any clue except that....I found that on both sides of the roads (towards Outram or towards Cityhall), there were a few pieces of concrete-like stones on the road. Therefore I have thought of a few possibilities. 1) Someone was playing with those F***ing stones. Threw them onto cars from afar and run 2) Some trucks/tippers was carrying such rocks and it felled onto the road. Other cars/buses/trucks drove over it at high speed and kicked up the rocks and then it flew towards my car (but not quite likely coz the rocks are too big to be 'kick-up' by cars driving over it.....furthermore, the rock came from the other side of the road, instead of coming from behind a car which I was following...if any) 3) Some UFO flying around in Singapore sky and dropped their egg which fossilised into stone while in the air and dropped onto my bonnet. (As if this will happen) Sigh. The purpose of writing this post....is to seek some advise from fellow brothers here on the recourse I should seek. 1) Complain to LTA? (I don't think they'll chup me) 2) Complain to xxx construction contractors? (There isn't any construction site near there when I went to scout around) 3) Go temple to "beat small people"? Never tried before, but don't mind going if it's found to be someone's mischief 4) Claim from Insurance? (I think got excess coz can't find the culprit ) If I need to respray this bonnet at my own expenses, then very likely, I'll be tempted to go malaysia....but this particular car....never went to malaysia....unlike my Mazda 323..... Anyway, I appreciate all advise. Thanks in advance.
  16. I have heard of magic stones used by HiFi Buffs to get ultimate perfection in music in their HiFi systems and ICE. Their local agent is HiFi Specialist at Adelphi (near Funan Center) and the manufacturer website is: http://www.shakti-innovations.com/ Any recommendation or comments?
  17. From the website, they claim Shakti aka "Stone" can be used to enhance performance, similar to grounding and HVS. Can anyone care to comment? http://www.shakti-innovations.com/
