So we have been hit by strong wind lately (sometimes very very strong wind), right after the Dec rains. I remember traditionally we get rain and wind in the later part of the year, like Nov-Dec, and the condition usually dry up, making Feb-march very dry and April-June very hot. However, this year the wind seem to blow non stop, and getting stronger. Any expert can share why and when this strong wind going to go easy?

Curious to know everyone's experiences and views on these 'common' accessories - wind deflectors (also known as window rain guard, door visor, etc.) and mud guards (splash guards or mud flaps). Do the deflectors really reduce noise, or add noise, etc., does lowering the window slightly with deflector actually help, etc. Are mud guards still relevant now? Do they really reduce splashes/mud etc. or do they end up trapping them? Looking to find MCFers' thoughts.

Uprooted trees crushes parked car, lamp post and altars along Dickson Road, Clive Street Heavy rainfall on Monday uprooted several trees which fell and crushed a parked car, a lamp post and a few altars along Dickson Road near Clive Street. Efforts to clear the road of massive tree trunks, some of trees that used to stand two or more storeys tall were still underway when The Straits Times visited the scene on Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses said the tress fell after the area was hit by strong winds and heavy rain in the evening but no one was reported injured. Hi, thinking of installing Thule roof rack but heard that it can be noisy at high speed, even with the Thule Aerobars. I want to leave the bars on the car when not transporting my bikes. Not too concern about FC but particular about excessive wind noise. Thule have new product call Wingbar, claim to cut down noise to almost cannot hear. Anyone use before can comment if it really works and really is noiseless? Is it worth it to pay more for Wingbars? Normal aerobars New Wingbars -
Is there a module that wind down window via your car remote so before you enter your vehicle/start your engine, you can wait at a shaded area to allow the trapped heat go out ?

Recently i traveled behind a truck and the wind screen was hit by a stone. I believe it was from the truck. Size of crack is about a 5cent coin. I can live with it. I have comprehensive coverage. Wind screen is covered 100%. Question is, if I go ahead with the repair or replacement, do you think my insurance premium will increase next year ? Thanks.

Hi all , I'm driving a FD4 , recently when driving at speed 110 I can hear very loud wind noise coming in from my driver side somewhere coming from the center , checked all windows winded up , nothing wrong with the door rubbers , anyone know what's the problem ? Was at nshw recently driving at 140 can feel the whole car vibrating even the accelerator pedal vibrates too , don't have this kind of problem last time and also a hiss sound whenever I step on the pedal. Need some advice , thanks

my windows cannot wind up or down at one of the windows, the rest is working. One of the Hi-fi workshop tested and said no power going to the motor and he didn't know more detail. I do ask him is it "fuse" but he said cannot be. so anyone know what the reason? Honda airwave.

Hi bro, My car wind screen was damaged, although not entire broken, but there is a visible line crack at about 1 ft long, just wonder if I goign to claim for replacement by my insurance, will the insurer accept it sicne it is not broken? iever heard that soem insurer may not allow since it is not broken. is this true? How you can share your experience and view. thanks in advance.

Anyone knows if its possible to fit some add-on module to normal car remote alarm, to remote wind down car windows ? Or need to change the whole alarm to some more advanced type ? I see most of the alarm systems advertised "auto winding up" as a feature, but I just need to have it wind down to cool down car before driving off, winding up is not important to me. Any recommendations or ideas ? Thanks

These are the first official photos of Renault's brand-new small coupe-roadster model, the Wind. It will have its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in early March. Known as the Twingo CC from the spy shots over the past couple of years, the Wind will go up against the likes of the Peugeot 207CC and Opel Tigra in Europe when sales start later in the year. The strictly two-seater model shares its platform and mechanical hardware with the Twingo. Measuring 3.830mm long, it's 230mm longer than the hatchback. Despite the fact that Renault pitches the car as a coupe-roadster, unlike other CC models with retractable hardtops, the Wind uses an electric roof that rotates 180 degrees into the trunk. The whole process takes only 12 seconds and since the roof sits on top of the boot, the Wind's luggage space remains at 270 liters whatever the position of the hardtop. The French automaker is keeping a tight lid on other details for now, but it is expected that the Wind will be offered with two of the Twingo's petrol engines, a 1.2-liter turbo with 100HP and a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter unit with 133HP.
