  12. Hi detailing Gurus, As above question, does SRP contain any abrasives? Will frequent application (lets say once every 2 weeks application) thin down the car paint? Have been reading this forum and recieved contridicting report, some say it contains abrasive while others say no, it is strictly a chemical polish. Currently I m using DG101, but the curioisty part of me would like to try SRP one day. What is the function of the microscopic "resin" found in it. Anyone?
  13. Has anyone tried their branch in Singapore? Prices seems a bit on the high side, but its cheaper than System 6. Does their sealant give long lasting protection? Top up a bit more can engage the services of GEN 2 liao. Pls give your unbiased comments. Thanks.
  14. Late News: I did get a chance to speak with Autoglym just before publishing this and I was able to learn that this is a stand-alone, one-step product. It is not designed to be used with Super Resin Polish or topped with Extra Gloss Protection. http://www.properautocare.com/auuldesh.html Since UDS is a substitute to the SRP, it is logical that they cannot be used side by side, but what about EGP? Does anyone know the reason?
  15. Anyone using Autoglym instant tyre shine? Seems like nobody mentioned this product in the forum. I am thinking whether to get Meguire's Endurance Gel or the AG tyre shine. Any reviews on these?
  16. Now then I realized that this AutoGlym Resin Polish is too good to believe. Normally I'll used those abit cheaper kinda wax to wax my car... and keep the AutoGlym one cos its more costly. Apparently, after one rainfall, the 'shiny & slippery' feelings will be gone. Now that I'm using the AutoGlym, the car will feel the same at least for 3 car washes or 3 rainfall. I cant really describe but definitely I can say is Good!
  17. Which one is better? Ultra Deep Shine is very expensive, does the quality justify its high price? Heard that its a stand alone product that do not need to be topped up with the extra gloss protection. As for the super resin polish, it needs to go with the EGP to enhance its protection.
  18. Experts! I need your advice on applying polish and sealant. I have a buddy who wish to try out the detailing configuration as listed below: 1) Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine, and follow by 2) Autoglym Super Resin Polish and lastly, the top layer would be the 3) Jeff Werkstatt Acrylic Jett What are your views on this? Do you think it would be effective?
  19. I recently read from another forum that autoglym super resin is a no-no on black car...cos it will create swirl-mark. Honestly, this is the 1st time I heard/read such thing. Am I alone? I tot autoglym is used by the british royal famliy for donkey years and most of their official cars are/were black. Please share.
  20. Anyone using this to dry your car? How good is it? Does it cause scratches? Where to buy? http://www.autoglym.co.uk/htfwb2/index.htm
  21. Not sure hv anyone try the both the Autoglym Chamois Leather or Mictopak WW drying towels? Which is better in term of absorbing water and lesser scratch? Current i am using the Autoglym Synthetic Chamois Leather .. find it quite good but wl also like to try out the WW dring towel ...
  22. Anyone tried the Autoglym detailing Parlor at Cactus Rd (Yio Chu Kang area)? Very near my home and thinking of letting them do steam cleaning of my engine. Anyone know the prices as well??

    Autoglym help

Hi all guys and gals... Have had my car for 6 months now, but still not too sure about the proper way of taking care for my black car... I have been using Autoglym SRP for polishing after washing, and used the EGP once for sealant about 3 months ago. However, found some swirl marks on my car recently, and have tried to use Scratch-X to remove the marks. But instead, it make the marks worse, and I have to use the SRP to repolish again to lighten the marks. However the marks are still there.. Question is what should I do now? Is the sealant sealing in the swirl marks, that's why the swirl mark remover doesn't work? Should I use SRP to polish the entire car first, follow by the swirl mark remover to remove the marks, and then SRP to repolish it, followed by the sealant to seal it all in? Really confused. And if I have a layer of the sealant, the next time I wash the car, should I still claybar the car? Use SRP to polish? Or just wash and add another layer of sealant? Will using the SRP remove the sealant that is applied previously? Totally confused right now.. Please help!!! (sorry if I confused anyone with my confusion.... )
