Wishcumstrue 6th Gear January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 (edited) Thank you for highlighting my signature...didn't know its such a sore topic that it had to be brought out...er..u do know thats my signature right??? On a side note...are you driving a made in china car? LOL! I do not "own" a made-in-China car......Yet. Yes, I know that's your signature and I do apologize if I had inadvertently offended anyone here. I am just borrowing it to emphasis the stake difference I see vs the common perception about PRC motor industry. Wishcumstrue 6th Gear January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 QuoteIf they can make a Lambo look-a-like, nothing is impossible. This type of collaboration is nothing new, happened since VW has set foot in China long time ago. GM has teamed up with many other car manufacturers in joint design, sales and marketing. The closest of such example to us would be Lotus and Proton for their Gen2. Actually, GM is trying to do the near-impossible. Allow me the explain: Today in US, any GM model that spell "B U I C K" = "S H I T". Yes, this is how hateful the American has on their home-grown marquee due to their past product quality and reliability. Put it simply, GM need China more than the other way This relation is unlike that of VW setting up factories in China or simply using "Lotus" brand/components in Proton. Both VW/Lotus is a powerhouse in their own right. GM doesn't. We are talking about design-studios and vehicle concept creations here, not just car assembling lines or 2nd-level developments. That is the key difference and that speaks volume. That seems to have paid-off. Both the American media and public were not only WOW by the design, and I have yet to hear US media saying "yuk, its design in China???" All they see is this jaw-dropping design from a brand that they love to hate currently on-show @ 2008 Detroit Auto Show

Dh6211 Clutched January 18, 2008 Share January 18, 2008 I took a look at their website. The company have some standard since the manufacturer has partnership with Suzuki. Engine is stroked up to 1.4 from the Swift K12B engine but horsepower and torque no difference. Interior quality looks very China standard at least exterior is still acceptable.
