Sniperben Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 my price on the CNG new car will be On The Road price. after the 40% OMV rebate and inclusive of the CNG installation and conversion charge. cat A cars will not have significant saving. on cat B cars, based on same make & model, you can see a saving of close to 7k as compare to non-CNG. Perrier 1st Gear February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 I bought my FIT G-F with skyroof with $1000 less from listed price inclusive of CNG installation. Was informed conversion kit cost $4000 including all necessary inspection(s). You can also check the saturday papers or sgcarmart under new car section. some PI will annotate that they have CNG option. Prime, Pinnacle, Mova are some PIs that I know offer CNG. Fondue Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 Seems like OMV gotta be more than 12k before the savings in OMV is enough to offset the CNG conversion cost. But then, I thought quite a bit of cat A cars has OMVs near the 20k range ? Don't these savings get pass-on to buyers ?
Qinglong 1st Gear February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 remember you also save a little bit more interest over the years since the initial car price is lower. why should the AD/PI pass you the savings? most prob they will give lots of excuses and reasons and then fleece you some more
Sniperben Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 cat A car with OMV near 20k? near 20k as in 17k, 18k+? can name me what cat A car is close to 20k of OMV?

Sniperben Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 dude, that one is continental make. price also very much different from cat A japaneses car. all the while, i am talking about japaneses make. misunderstanding
Fondue Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 Was actually thinking of the of the 1.7 Edix and 1.8 Stream, then realised Cat A is only up to 1.6L So assuming 17 to 18k OMV, should make it 2 to 3k cheaper for bifuel.
Fondue Neutral Newbie February 14, 2008 Share February 14, 2008 I went to look at the CNG Citroen C5. Its about 8k cheaper with OMV around 28k. The kit is from Scantruck, with a 66L tank. But was told range is only 180km, and expect a 20% power loss Will prob go do a test drive soon. ↡ Advertisement
