Will be selling off my ride soon and need a one stop shop to take care of my paper work. Pls advise if any of u know any car dealer friend who can do this. Thanks.

If not DIY at LTA. Very simple.

 

Buyer get insurance cover and then meet seller at LTA, fill up Transfer Form proceed to counter. Pay Transfer fee and DOne!

Correct. Now LTA link with Finance co. If got loan not clear cannot transfer

Actually not much legwork leh.. processing is 5 mins only. Private seller n buyer got separate Q oso! Very fast one!

no need meet buyer at LTA, just need his original ic and plus signature on the transfer form. prior to this, need clear all outstanding loan which LTA has linked to it

izzit it dangerous to pass the SE one's IC? My mom is sellling her car and worried about passing her IC to SE. I thought should be ok right? Isn't this the industry norm or do people all follow the SE to LTA personally?

never let a 3rd party to hold on to your ID...Scan Copy ok.

SE not so scare esp for big agent.

 

Now some procedure need not have physical IC present. Like if you sell a car to dealer, what you need to do is to apply a T-pin from LTA and the dealer can transfer the car with this pin (no IC required)
