Carlover76 Neutral Newbie July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 I not sure it is something new as I found out that my Cefiro glasses are with the label "UV", does it mean by default, it is already UV preventive? ↡ Advertisement

Nav14 6th Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 The Teana/Cefiro 250XV is also a V6. At 94k+ it is the cheapest Japanese V6 available here.
Nav14 6th Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 Was told the Chinese models are manufactured in China. Singapore will be getting the second batch of Jap Teana, first batch was made for Jap market. Will be getting a pearl white 250XV over the weekend, bordeaux red currently the most popular colour, its out of stock till November. SE said response from pre-launch is better than expected, many whom which are existing Cefiro owners. TC's margin for the Teana seems pretty low for the pre-launch, I guess they might be trying to recover some market share from Toyota and Honda. OMV for 250XV is in the 29K region. The Teana would look best in Pearl White but the mainteance is painstaking. I have opted for Bordeaux Red.Hopefully it will look as what I see on the website - a very dark maroon. Latioboy 1st Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 Yup. Cefiro looks really good in pearlWhite. Join the Pearlwhities club man!
Jjchsg 2nd Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 Comparing the current 230JM to the new 250XV parking sensor? I assume TC will just install local parking sensor but it is not mentioned. Reverse camera? Factory fitted one can show the lines to guide the parking. GPS? For the difference between 250XV and 350XV seems to be: - 2 more airbag - sunroof - engine
Garlic 1st Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 Yep, I have seen the pictures online too, bordeaux red is new and a really nice colour. Checked with SE and was told colour can still be changed, might change to silver as I prefer a low maintenance colour. Made a big mistake by getting the 230JM in sapphire black. Garlic 1st Gear July 26, 2008 Share July 26, 2008 The only addition will be parking sensors, the rest are factory fitted. There will not be GPS and reverse camera though. Factory fitted GPS is in Japanese and the Teana does not come with reverse camera option. GPS and reverse camera is available in the 230JM as its installed locally. Yaloryalor 5th Gear July 27, 2008 Share July 27, 2008 The 2.0L version has only 136 horsepower? It seems to be very low for a 2.0L car..
Kalmath 1st Gear July 27, 2008 Share July 27, 2008 The MR20DE engine is designed for practical daily usage where low end torque matters more. According to Nissan sources, 90% of the max torque is attained at 2000 rpm. Max horsepower typically doesn't matter much unless for high speed racing. How many times you ever rev your engine to 6000 rpm? Honda engine has high horsepower on high rpm, that's why most people has the perception of Honda's car are powerful, however, in real life driving, it may not be the case. Kalmath 1st Gear July 29, 2008 Share July 29, 2008 The Teana/Cefiro 250XV is also a V6. At 94k+ it is the cheapest Japanese V6 available here. This is a good article comparing the price of Accord, Camry, Teana in China market, a good baseline indication of how much the retail price of the car should be. As you can see, the Accord is priced slightly too high in Singapore. http://auto.msn.com.cn/auto_guide/promote/...5/71569_2.shtml
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie July 29, 2008 Share July 29, 2008 Those GPS or reverse camera will be locally fitted and I guess this is normal as most local agent will do that to lower the OMV of the car cos those items can be fitted locally which will be cheaper rather than being taxed by the government. As for GPS, no point using the original fitted as the map used only applicable in Japan not Singapore but guess the FL Cefiro comes with reverse camera or GPS by default is a good option which applies to all models. Kranjipioneer 3rd Gear July 31, 2008 Share July 31, 2008 The Teana/Cefiro 250XV is also a V6. At 94k+ it is the cheapest Japanese V6 available here. Sat papers PI advertising Mark X at $90k region. Should be cheapest Jap V6 around.
Carlover76 Neutral Newbie July 31, 2008 Share July 31, 2008 It could be the cheapest V6 but the interior and quietness cannot be compared to Teana cos you will need to spend some money to do sound proofing after you collected the car as it do not have any sound proofing done by default.
