    Mercedes GLC

Racechip performance gain on paper seems to be more than Brabus, and cheaper. Brabus about $3k vs Racechip $1k?

    Mercedes GLC

In Singapore, is Brabus still covered by C&C warranty? I read in other countries it does cover by Mercedes.

Anyone has CarPlay enabled on GLC running on Audio 20?

    How much is the overtrade?

    Mercedes GLC

This is not specific to GLC. Usually when the headlight is on (i.e. at night), the speedometer & rev dial will be dimmed.

    2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

For standard C180, the CO2 emission is actually Band B, no surcharge. I believe it's the NoX emission that hit Band C1. interestingly the emission of CO2 and NoX are inversely correlated, thus sometimes the lower the CO2 emission, the car emits more NoX. Thus, by changing to bigger rim and/or add more weight (i.e. coupe is heavier than sedan), the CO2 emission becomes higher, however, the NoX emission becomes lower. That's why for the same engine, the coupe is Band B and Sedan is Band C1.

    VES 2018

VES heavily penalise cars like Kia Sorento, Sportage,Lexus IS, NX, Audi A4, selected Mini coopers etc. which are imposed with $20k surcharges, while really bad pollutants cars like Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley with double the emission pollutants are paying the same surcharge of $20k. The super rich in fact benefited under the scheme, as these cars are paying 10k less under VES as compared to CEVS with $30k surcharge. I just cannot see how VES is sending the right message to the general public on environmental protection.

    Lexus ES250 Real Sell Price

The entire Lexus range of non-hybrid car are on Band C2 under the VES, with $20k surcharge, the ES pricing will no longer be competitive unless Lexus is able to re-tune the engines for optimised emission.

    VES 2018

Typo, should be Band C1, not B1 above.

    VES 2018

The VES doesn't look right. LTA/NEA should revisit the scheme. 2 examples as follow: 1). Lexus IS200t and all the supercars like Ferrari are on the same Band C2. $20k surcharge. 2). C180 Coupe (R17 inch rim) on Band B1 ($10k surcharge) while same car (R18 inch rim) is on Band B (Neutral). Could be the criteria defined are not realistic and/or the testing approach is flawed.

    VES 2018

For patrol cars, CO and NOX emissions are the 2 key parameters impacting the VES band. Hybrid cars like Prius and Diesel cars does well for low CO, but impacted by the NOx emissions.

is GLC 200 engine power sufficient?

    Mercedes GLC

I don't understand how GLC200 (RWD) and GLC250 (4 matic) all wheel drive have similar carbon emission 162g and similar fuel consumption figures. Are these tested by LTA or declare by manufacturer?

Lexus RX200t vs GLC vs XC60

The 2018 XC60 T5 has been launched, similar price to GLC250. The XC60 is more powerful, more refined and spacious interior, extensive semi safety autonomous driving capabilities, and infotainment features. GLC has slightly bigger luggage space, stronger branding perception. I can't comment on reliability and maintenance cost. Which would be a better choice?

Are both the front seats for new shipment 1). fully motorised, 2). with memory and 3). control panel at the door?
