Rev_zone Neutral Newbie April 21, 2008 Author Share April 21, 2008 (edited) Yes. confirm it helps as it wont compress fully all the way down! This is the pic taken from my ride. Hope it gives you a clearer pic on how this thing works. Edited April 21, 2008 by Rev_zone ↡ Advertisement
Hamburger Hypersonic April 21, 2008 Share April 21, 2008 but was told tat it may raise e ride height abit which in turn deficts e purpose of lowering it in e 1st pl
Rev_zone Neutral Newbie April 21, 2008 Author Share April 21, 2008 True but if you find it too low and after putting the spacer it still look lower than your stock then it serve your purpose liao mah. You're the owner, you must spend to as least feel comfortable with it but not what people said yet your heart still keep feeling something is not right. Hamburger Hypersonic April 21, 2008 Share April 21, 2008 here is e dilemma. u put in aft mkt spring to lower it, onli to raise it again by putting something else. if onli it does not raise e height.......
Dwoon 1st Gear April 22, 2008 Share April 22, 2008 You need not raise the height..... you can maintain the height but the springs will be stiffer for that matter and will sag less under load.
Blacktrek Neutral Newbie April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 My current coilover setup were quite bumpy when travelling in Malaysia and some uneven in sg. If I install these spacer will it make my ride more bumpy?
Derrick479 Neutral Newbie April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 r ur coilover adjustables? set them to the lowest/softest if ur travelling alot to NS highway...
Dwoon 1st Gear April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 As another bro stated, your coilovers should be adjustable in the damper setting. If height adjustable, lagi better. You need not use this cheapo method to beef up the springs. Why do you want these spacers for anyway? But what I understand is that depending on where the stifferners are palced along the coils, that will affect whether it is bumpier or not.
Blacktrek Neutral Newbie April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 My current spring rate is F7kg R8kg. The ride was very hard that y thinking maybe these spacer can reduce the hard feel and knock when the spring bottom out..
Hamburger Hypersonic April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 written on the manual itself, it wrote height may be raise up to 3cm if installed i m quite worry tat it may upset e balance of e geometry of e tein spring setup.
Dwoon 1st Gear April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 Afraid you'll have to live with the bumpier ride as your springs are rather stiff to begin with. Hmmm.... with such hard spring rates, is your height too low that it causes the rar to bottom out & knock? You might want to play with the height setting then (together with the damper setting of the shocks). You can't do anything to the springs..... Putting these spacers will only make it worse, not better.
Blacktrek Neutral Newbie April 23, 2008 Share April 23, 2008 Currently is 2 finger from tyre to arch. Will try to bring up the height to test the damping again. Thanks bro.

Kianbeng Clutched December 15, 2008 Share December 15, 2008 Whats the thickness of those pads? I saw one but didn't go for it because I measured the depth between the top and bottom grooves .... and it seems like only 1cm. Meaning to say if the springs sit inside the grooves, this rubber block will maintain minimum 1cm apart only.
Kianbeng Clutched December 16, 2008 Share December 16, 2008 Just managed to buy this spring pad for my W210. It's #4. Increases the height by 12mm (1.2cm) as compared to original. But I still think it's not enough. I was hoping for at least 2" to 3" lift which works out to be 7+cm? not 1.x cm. sigh. Anyway, was thinking if this spring pad from W210 can be transplanted to be used on my Fielder. Does anyone knows?
Tommisan 4th Gear December 18, 2008 Share December 18, 2008 (edited) Hi Rev_zone, I am having some problems with Eibach spring too, or more because of the bad combination. Am on stock absorbers and fitted with Eibach springs. I am getting springy noise from the left front coil spring position when I go over hump at even very slow crawling speed. I am occasionally, getting springy sound from my right back too. Sometimes noise happens when I do turns too, like tick tick sound. I am 100% positive the tick tick sound does not come from the steering rack or tie rod issue, I had checked both out thoroughly. I have checked the absorbers too, they are still working fine. I have asked the main workshop to check the noise problem, but they didnt have time to do so. I am weighing over a few options, my main concerns are: I) to eliminate the noise completely, retaining the lowered springs (first priority) II) must be comfortable enough for infant below 3mths (second priorty) III) firm up the suspension as long as it is still comfortable for infant below 3 mths (third priority). My way to go: 1) Replace my stock absorbers to B8 from blistein. Will my ride get really stiff? Anyone has B8 with eibach experience to share? Ask w/s to check for the noise, maybe need to add a spacer or some water hose damper at spring housing. 2) Just go for the damper, where could i find a damper (for the coil spring housing) like the above black circular photo posted by Kianbeng for my ride? its for 2004 pre fl Mazda 2. 3) Do I need a spacer, the red or blue type for my case? what is the main purpose of this spacer? After the above, redo alignment. I am inclined to go for the 1st option, but just need to know if my baby will be comfortable with it. Rev_zone and forummers, I hope you can help me out. Thanks, Tommy Edited December 18, 2008 by Tommisan ↡ Advertisement
