U can try the restaurant at singapore poly's staff restaurant. Its only $10.80 per person. Cheap & good. Environment is just like any typical retaurant u can find outside.

The only International one I can think of near Buona Vista is the one at Clementi Woods Park... Sakura I think...

There's one Korean buffet in YESS Centre at 27 West Coast Highway, very close to Bourna Vista. Also, a few buffet outlets in Vivocity and Harbourfront.
