Just my opinion without any scientific facts. For new car engine, fuel system etc all very clean so fuel system cleaner probably have no effect. But for high mileage car which has not done top or total overhaul, probably will have some effect. But dun expect miracles o/w these things will sell like hotcakes [kiss]

That's why I passed a bottle to this good old friend of mine. His car is a 7yrs old Sunny, mileage now is about 220k. FC some 4 yrs ago was 10+, now about 9. Once a while pump Msian v-power but FC improve only initially. I'm also looking forward to this "experiment". [drivingcar]

asj ur fren dun put so much in the first dose... it might dislodge big chunks or gunk, and choke up the fuel lines or the fuel filter...

 

take it slow and steady...

Me use STP fuel injector cleaner for 1st full tank after every engine oil change.

 

 

Same same,,,... I did that as well .

 

I choose to buy the OCTANCE BOOSTER from STP . IT is the 2 in 1 , Octance booster plus fuel injector cleaner.

 

It used to cost $8.50 from petrol station ... now .. I just went back, $12.00 already.

 

 

The STP OCTANCE BOOSTER can treat up to 15 gallon of petrol .... so I use for 2 full tank.

Dont understand what you say leh.

 

Some updates, car is now smoother using only half a bottle. Heed the advice of a bro here to pour only half bottle, just in case there's too much to clean and it's choked the system.

 

Now is the step to monitor FC. If FC improves, then this is good.

STP is cheaper? That's good! I thought octane booster is useless for us using normal car engine. Wonder how much is STP engine cleaner?

 

If I am not wrong, Engine Cleaner ... is the one.. which we need to pour into the Engine System to mix with Engine Oil. Could it be like an Engine FLUSH?

Personally i have not.. tried .... the STP engine cleaner.

 

As for the OCTANCE booster is 2 in 1 with Fuel Injector cleaner. Treat up to 15 gallon of petrol

 

1 gallon = 3.785 411 784 liter

 

Just take it to Round off as 4 liter per gallon. It depend how big is your Fuel tank .

 

Normally I use one bottle of Octane booster for 2 tank of petrol.

 

I known about STP Since Young, whenever I am with my Dad on road trip to malaysia... He will pour one can of STP Engine Treatment mix with Engine Oil.

 

I tried using that now... every time I am reaching 10,000Km , I poured one can in to stretch to 13-14,000Km , then do Oil change.

 

to what I know, not an expert though..... Engine Oil treatment actually thicken the viscosity of your current Engine Oil. As the Oil getting older. It gets thinner.

 

Well USD drop like hell but this STP which is a US product also increase like hell... the common excuse that the shop owner will say ... : Petroleum product also increase as Crude oil increased.
