Is the STP complete fuel system any good? I reckon it's a once-off application? Keen to try out as my car is about 40k mileage, thought of giving her a clean vrooomm...

Now I using STP fuel injector cleaner (black bottle type), almost hit 400km on half tank even with some hard acceleration to clean injector. Before this I need to drive gently to hit this mileage on half tank.

But my previous car (carburator engine) I tried a few types of fuel additive including the complete fuel system cleaner, not much noticeable difference.

If afraid of losing effect, you might as used it till it's finished. Put in the cleaner twice lor. Else, you can give me to try [;)]

Supersonic

Some of the cleaners that used PEA are:

1. Techron

2. Redline

3. Amsoil

http://www.chevron.com/products/ourfuels/p...itives/tcp.aspx

The current state-of-the-art treatment is an additive called polyether amine (PEA). Developed by Chevron... it carries the company's trade name TECHRON

Red Line SI-1 contains:

30% to 50% PolyEther Amine (PEA)

Amsoil PI contains:

27.7% to 36.9% PolyEther Amine (PEA)

I paid $18 for the 2 bottles at a car show. I don't think it was effective.

After I found Redline, I try to get rid of the 3m, so I just pour all into the tank.laugh.gif

I have used Redline and very satisfied too! Mileage improved but maybe not as much as yours. Bought a few spare bottles to keep! [laugh]

Hi,

Do you know apart from kaiguan.com.sg, where else could I get redline SI-1?

I am trying to look for it around woodlands, sembawang and yishun, but can't seem to find it.

I hope someone can tell where is the nearest place from woodlands to get redline.

Thanks to all,

Tommy

Just bought 2 bottles of Gunk Fuel System cleaner - supposedly better than injector cleaner as it cleans everything inside the engine. Cost me less than $20 per bottle. I'm giving it to my buddy who drives a 7 year old, high mileage car to try. Will update you guys once the verdict is out.

haha, i tend to agree with you. If these stuffs can really do wonders, why are they not selling like hot cakes?

I actually half-believe in this only, but trying it out for fun, will keep you posted!
