Jamjammer Neutral Newbie July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 Also, sae the STP fuel cleaner (it says one time use) at Esso in upper Bukit Timah near Bukit Panjang, think it's 7.95, usual price like 10 plus or something. Dont know if this is good??
Passion 5th Gear July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 No effect one leh.I used to use it every 2 tanks.Slowly to once a month, then now don't use.No effect one la.Perhaps the 20plus dollars one might work.
Jamjammer Neutral Newbie July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 Might as well use the money to pump vpower or platinum or 98 petrol so it will clean the engine? I've switched to 92 previously but now switching back to 95 so as to reduce the "contamination" factor. Maybe once a while, vpower or platinum to clean it up! Singer Neutral Newbie July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 I saw one @ an accessories shop within Shell along Tampines (the one that has PI office next to it), i think Ave 2? Retailing at $15+
Singer Neutral Newbie July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 The one u saw is cheaper than what i found in my posting above... but not all Home Fix outlets carry Redex. Care to share which outlet u saw?
Jamjammer Neutral Newbie July 11, 2008 Share July 11, 2008 For redex, it's the red colour liquid (inside), saw it at Home fix marina square. I remember other homefix also have the redex. But the instruction says it's a one-time use type not the every top up a little bit type. For STP, heard a bro say dont waste time, so will give it a miss.... Accentrix Neutral Newbie July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 I find it helps to pump V-Power once a month and to rev the engine more then usual to blow out any carbon deposits while V-Power is cleaning the engine internals. The engine does feel smoother after this. Course if one can afford it, keeping pumping V-Power all the time, it does make a difference.
Octopus 3rd Gear July 18, 2008 Share July 18, 2008 now the complete cleaning system offer at 19.90 at NTUC.... I got one bottle of the STP complete fuel system cleaner at AMK NTUC yesterday. It is on $19.90 (usual price $25), but due to the additional 20% off for all car care item, I paid less than $16 for it. ↡ Advertisement
