Can GPS avoid traffic jam roads?

i know gps can have the option of avoiding highway when planning route..

 

is it possible to avoid traffic jams road?

When planning route, yes. U can select the roads or highways u wanna avoid and dan re-route.

sorry but indeed it is a silly question..Our gahman had spent million of dollar on EMAS and you see what u got in return? u enter into the highway and just seeing the message..''HEAVY TRAFFIC TILL ...''KNN..Is it going to help ease the traffic or allow you to avoid it? wasting tax payer money..I think the most useful part is flash out greeting to us '' HAPPY NEW YEAR..GONG XI FA CAI''...good for nothing..

Even if there's to be one, u gotto pay for the information. If u want realtime updates it has to be really fast to receive the information inorder to work effectively.

 

SG is damn tiny, msg must get to u lightning fast plus u'r already at a certain speed driving on the road, do u think u can response in time to avoid any jams? Even if there are such services, it'll not be effective here. Waste money only.

No, the best part is EMAS flashing 'HAVE A PLEASANT DRIVE" and all you see in front is traffic jam and lots of cars. How to have a pleasant drive?????

actually its like we know in the morning, radio djs do announce the places with traffic jams..

but sometimes when we missed the radio annoucement, we might not know the route you are heading is actually jammed until you went into it..

 

so was actually thinking of any better alternatives beside the radio announcement.

we cant expect the djs to keep announcing the road conditions also.

Not in SG yet... What I do normally is logon to one motoring site on PDA using my mobile broadband on the move to check out the traffic cameras :)
