Grix17 Clutched June 15, 2008 Share June 15, 2008 (edited) I was just wondering .. for those of us with kids, has anyone tried using Baby Wipes to clean things like tree sap or bird droppings from the exterior surface of your car? Any adverse effects on the paintwork, sealant or polish? Edited June 15, 2008 by Grix17 ↡ Advertisement
Limhm Neutral Newbie June 15, 2008 Share June 15, 2008 I use bb wipes for wiping interior n exterior of the car. For interior is leather seats and dust over all. For exterior, bird dropping all over the car, if hav...glass, paint area... No adverse effect...tink bb wipes hav moisturing effect, esp for the leathers. I love bb wipes for many things, for my boy, house chores, car... Today jus went to JL to grab 9big pks...inside hav 3 small pks of 80s. Cost $11 for 3big pks, cos buy 2 get 1 free. Carlson brand. Eviltrap 2nd Gear June 17, 2008 Share June 17, 2008 I use Baby Wipes coz it is wet. What I do is I will stick the wet tissue on the sap/ bird faeces, etc. for a a minute or 2. Once it is a bit wet, I will just wipe it off. Easier that trying to scrub it out straight away. Will damage the paint also. I've already got a few marks on my car due to allowing the dirty things stay too long on my car's surface. Now permanently there. Cannot remove liao. If possible, best to wipe it off within a few hours. Or according to some, within 24 hours.

Prodigysaint Clutched July 6, 2008 Share July 6, 2008 not only can it clean those sxxt.. it can easily remove TAR.. far better than shampoo. maybe it's the alcohol in the BBwipes that do the job so well.. i use only PIGEON brand though.. but that's the one that is really good.. haha

Prodigysaint Clutched July 6, 2008 Share July 6, 2008 i believe all BBwipes got abit of alcohol.. but not in high concentration.. cos it's supposed to have anti bacterial effect too.. check to see if there are IPA (iso-propyl alcohol) <-- this is superb against bacteria at high concentration.. (learnt while i was working in microlab testing for pharma company) ↡ Advertisement
