Bridgestone GR 80 for 215/55/R16 is $200 per piece (if u buy 4 pieces)

Goodyear Eagle F1 = $180/-

Michelin MXV8 = $205/-

Yokohama DB = $175/-

They don't have Goodyear Eagle LS2000

AR10

gr80 is in production but the prices are so high that nobody wants to stock them (profit margin)

its easier to make a story and hey gr80 is replaced by ar10, and MIT and MII ar10 gibes better profit margin

consistent temp range, less heat cycling, which is wat kills your tyres

the normal sedan tyres dont take heat cycling well compared to the top tier range of the 3 big brands

even RE001 doesnt take heat well , saw my fren half yr tyre already brown and sidewall nuah nuah liao

according to some.. nitrogen do not 'expand' as much as just normal air.

But the negative point is.. u need to go back to the same place to pump..

While driving my previous ride, I was given nitrogen as well. But as I find it troublesome to travel all the way back to the shop for topup.. I switch back to normal air instead.

About $150/pc for a 15" (asked about 3months back)

I can safely recommend falken 912, which cost about $80/pc for a 15".

Its performance in dry and wet is a little lower than Hankook V2 which i was using previously. The tyre thread is similar to CPC.

more on the heat

i buy a IR thermo gun just to check surface temp, lot of diff on surface, imagine inside [:p]

Hello clown [wave]

How are you today?

In what way does nitrogen not heat up like normal 'air'? Could it be because they sound cooler?

N2 helps by reducing pressure loss in the long run, and being inert, it does not react with the tires to accelerate rubber degration when the tire is hot.

Of course, if 100% N2 means what it says, then there is no water molecules inside the tire, which is not true. Of course, with less water, there is less humidity fluctuation which affects the tire pressure compared to 'normal' slightly damp air, depending on where the compressor is located

go autob..., confirm [knife]

depends.. it comes with lifetime rotation and N2 topup... so work that out by 3-5times for the tyres.. not really expensive afterall..

but not sure if such offer still holds now

You talking about turanza right?

GR80 is being replaced by the newer Turanza AR10 I think. They claim that the new one is btter over uneven ground and better steering. They claim that with the new tyre, it gives in to understeer later. For dry, not much change.
