This one really works?? I thought its Shell selling Koyok only leh.. My NA car cannot feel any diff from the ron98.

You are right,N/A Cars not much Difference  ,but Turbocharged ones...Yes.  

 

For my car, no diff.

 

Whenever i use RON100, there is significant difference (butt feel).

 

For RON100, even MYVI can feel the difference.

If anyone wants to boost their octane with xylene, I have a 3 liter tin that I have sitting around that I want to get rid of for $8.

Xylene is MON 103 and RON 120.

Add 3 liters of xylene to 27 liters of RON98 will give you RON100.

I doubt anyone would take the risk to dump unkown items into their 100k or 200k cars. Do you operate a workshop?

What kind of car? My VW runs better on high octane but my truck runs way worse.

If you've got an old school, high compression engine like in a muscle car or a drag car it'll be good for it. You can find a few famous brands here https://carpassionate.com/best-octane-boosters/ But for more modern, daily driving cars I don't see much use in it.

anyway for u guys out there that try and try stuff, results sometimes are psychological, some do improve, some become worse etc. so really if u wanna try snake oils the bottom line is : ITS UP TO U 🙂

A lot of these additives do something, but it’s usually pretty minor unless there’s an actual issue. Octane boosters can help if your engine needs it, but for most normal cars it won’t magically improve performance or fuel economy.
Agree with you on the “snake oil” part — plenty of products are overpriced for what they actually do. Some of the cheaper, well-known brands (STP etc.) are usually just fine for occasional use.

I still remember,in the early 90's when NEA phased out the Leaded Petrol,so many Non ''Cats'' M102 Engine Owners told C&C,said after pumping Unleaded,Car no Power,Car have ''Pinging'',so many Owners paid an extra 10 Cents to pump Leaded Petrol again.
