The day has come as expected.

SMRT giving discount on fare for pple who reach CBD before 7.30am.

This means taking train more expensive during peak hour!

Those pple up there only know how to use $$ to solve problem...

hmm..thinking the other way round instead, so it is cheaper to take the MRT before 7.30am? The fares otherwise will remain the same right? [:/]

If so, it's not more expensive but they are encouraging ppl to take the earlier trains & lessen the human congestion during peak hours [idea]

Turbocharged

siao!

then when the crowd becomes bigger at 730am, they will charge higher too and shift the off-peak period to before 630am... same thing happens, charge higher at 630am and shift earlier to 530am....

[hur][hur]

Won't work ! If most starts between 8.30 am to 9.30 am, who will want to go in B4 7.30 am and waste time (2 hrs) for nothing ? Even take breakfast also not required so much time. (but enough to make baby include take shower after [laugh] )

Unless some companies implement earlier start and earlier end. That will then be possible to shift the crowds. Of course not at the costs of productivity loss.

the only solution the elite can come out with is use $$$ to so call "SOLVE" problem.

sad to say that the problem is not solve at all. [shakehead]

i believe the elites can do better being paid so high a salary. [thumbsdown]

why not just increase the frequency of the trains and buses in peak hours.

Actually .... in other countries ... they don't have to pay for anything ... because there is nothing for them to pay. So they have to build their own house lah ... dig their own well lah ... build their own road lah etc.

But in S'pore .... gov't, companies, etc provides almost everything. So all you have to do is to pay to get what you want.

i think they did mentioned that they are pushing the number of mrts and buses to the limit during peak hours and that's all they can do physically without compromising on mrt track safety
