Neutral Newbie
me oso looking for camcorder wif HDD n SD card etc... anyone noe if panasonic or JVC is okie? or anyone using them here?

Wanted to buy JVC GZ-MS100 which records to SD card only, $599. But when reach there, they say GZ-MS100 further discount to $549, but GZ-MG330 which writes to 30GB HDD and SD, discount price $699 plus lots of accessories like extra battery, so i ended up buying JVC GZ-MG330.

Low light picture quality (eg indoors) is bad when i display in 32" LCD tv. Outdoors is ok.

heehee, i oso bought the same model as u... i went to comex yesterday to jvc (S$699), sony n panasonic (both S$799) to check out similar range models but found tat the jvc one offers sharper images n inbuilt video light so we bought tat... they oso gave us another video light to be attached to the camcorder n lotsa accessories as u mentioned... haven't tried it out at home yet thou...

Bought the HUD after reading your thread. Works quite well outdoors. Best thing about it is easy to self install as no wiring.

No Wiring? then how to charge? [confused]

Have to manually on n off it when we got in n out of the car?

Just connect the charger to the 12v point in your car, and let it charge your GPSHUD. When fully charged, u can keep the charger, because the HUD can operate on it's internal rechargeable batteries alone. If you want to permanently attach the charger to the HUD or you want to get someone to fix some permanent wiring also is up to you.

Tried it today at the RSAF open house. The 35x optical zoom is great to have but this device lacks the stabilizers like Panasonic or Canon to lessen the shake. It really shakes badly when you zoom >15x zoom, so need to use tripod. Video is is nice and clear when used outdoors outdoors.
