there is a way to overcome the Java problem which is to download and reinstall the Java Virtual Machine and it will solved the problem. anyway, Chrome is still in BETA mode. I believe there are still more improvements coming up.

just need java and i can forget abt IE liao.

i have not tried uploading facebook pix with chrome though. not sure if it works but i decided to use IE.

anyway i'm generally satisfied with IE. prefer firefox to IE when it worked on my system (not anymore) but i must say chrome is WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than either FF or IE for the stuff it does.

for MCF and yahoomail there is marked difference in speed. "incognito" mode looks good if it works [lipsrsealed][sly][flowerface]

it is basically having the same base code as firefox. once all the plugin are added, the speed will probably slow down.

same as XP. vanilla installation very fast. after adding all your apps..... [:/]

Its actually works on the same base as safari.

>Based on Webkit, the same open-source engine that powers Apple Safari and Google's Android mobile platform, Chrome's interface is a drastic departure from other browsers.

doesn't work too well for viewing facebook albums.

very fast to load but the "prev" and "next" do not work well. "prev" will send me straight to the last pic in the album.

but beta version, consider not too bad already la [:p]

is firefox faster than IE for u? how does chrome compare with FF in terms of speed?

i didn't find firefox any faster than IE when i switched last time. it was more for the supposed improved security. but i do find chrome much faster than IE

actually, it works well for me on facebook.

but i just realized, Safari is actually faster than Chrome.

But Chrome is slightly faster than firefox3,... maybe, just in micro seconds,... so i'd say they are equally fast.

but Chrome dont support java just yet... so,.. i'd have to shelf it for a while.

Chrome's memory management is certainly the best ... better than IE, Safari and firefox.

http://www.rybazoom.com/browsermips/

Go to this URL using all your browsers available and see for yourself the speed of each browser.

Mine read as follows,

Firefox3 -- 4335

Chrome -- 11694

Safari -- 2498

IE6 -- 1035

Clearly, Chrome is faster than the others by a large margin. but in real world, is it really faster?

I made a test by going to livejournal webpage (the slowest page i have ever encountered) with FF3, Chrome and Safari.... Safari came tops... while FF3 and Chrome are still unable to load the page even after 5 mins (i cleared the cache for all 3 browsers before loading... so, no cache page).

Real world test - Safari is fastest.
