Brake Fluid

Need fellow bro advice on the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir. the brake fluid had decreased till the minimum level and a thorough check was conducted and find no leak in teh master cyclinder. Neither was there any seepage around the wheel nipple. Can this be due to that the brake pad is wearing out? or other reasons?

Greatly appreciated fellow bros advice and comments.

Brake pad wearing out. Once it hits the minimum level in your cylinder, please go and check and if need be, change your brake pad.

If your brake fluid is more than 2 years, advisable to change the brake fluid also.

yes, a possible cause is worn brake pads. see if u can do a visible check on the brake pads.

if there is no hange in braking efficiency, then there should be no problem. the fluid levels should go back up when u change new pads

Brake fluid low is a possible indication of wearing down of brake pads.

If the pads are worn out, it is best to change the pads, change fluid and bleed at the same time.

I second your opinion.

Sometimes it is good to change the fluid while changing the brake pad at the same time. Improves the brake efficiency and I heard removes any moisture that can be found in the brake fluid.

I have tried both before and I would suggest changing the fluid at the same time while changing brake pad. No regrets for paying a bit more.

Pads are very subjective and prices vary alot depenging on the type and brand.

Fluid (1 litre is usually used) is not that expensive between the brands, though there's some diff like $20. Normal ones cost maybe ~ $20 a litre.

Most workshops provide this service. (Unless they don't have your pad type due to your car's model)
