Don't forget our own President Nathan brings his wherever he goes. I've seen him at many different dinners and receptions, and he's the only one with his own Aeron chair.

one of the gov agencies located above cityhall mrt station, the entire office is fitted with such chairs...this is the way they spend tax payer money to have their butt and back rest comfortably whereas the peasant sit on wooden or plastic chairs

EDB? [lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed][lipsrsealed]

bingo! all the chairs on the 28th floor of raffles city tower is worth a small fortune!

Neutral Newbie

not just IMCB....several institutes in biopolis use herman miller aero chairs for the rooms. the chairs in the non-room areas are Vitra brand which is not cheap too.

some time ago...a local uni was in the news for spending a large sum of $$$ on expensive chairs...and around the same time...they sent letter asking the alumnus to donate to the endowment fund!!!

But the bulk of my work is producing/arranging asian pop music.

Interesting job u have, are u involved in producing Leo Ku's latest album - guitar fever?

The video mentioned that he got to use 6 mic to capture the full effect of guitar! Also pump in a lot of $$ for high end stuff to achieve the best recording quality

I am amazed by the speed of the guitarist fingers [sweatdrop]

Nope. My clients tend to be the "older" generation singers, haha...

I saw the video. 6 mics at once? They'll have lots of phasing issues to contend with. I am doubtful all of the 6 mic tracks would be used all at once, since the recording venue is a studio, and not a hall. It's more like having more choices to choose from. It's a common practice, especially recording vocals, to have a whole selection of mics set up and then choosing the best sounding one.

Actually, the way these chairs hold their amazing value after 5 or 6 years...they can be a sound investment..and if you bother to keep it for 12 years..its fully warranted till then...maybe that's how the government agencies justify the expenditure... [sly]

I bought mine about 6 years ago for $1.8k at the now defunct shop that used to be at the basement of Takashimaya. Bargained from $2.2k.

It still works as if it's brand new. Doesn't look too shoddy either. And I sit on it more than 8 hours a day. No doubt one of the best things I've ever bought in my life...

And by the way, it's no where near the most expensive chair in the world.
