and i was shocked to hear that my dad had signed the agreement..

thinking about it, it does make sense to sign the agreement 1st.

But its like, abit 'sway' to sign it 1st... [laugh]

Ya, my dad told me that there are 2 ways to do it.

1 is by the keyhole method mentioned by someone here,

another 1 is by normal surgery if they found out that the gall bladder is not

in a ideal position. Which is why, the doctor did ask my dad to sign an

agreement to go ahead with the surgery if the 'keyhole' is not successful..

The doc will not wake him up to wait for the decision.

just do it....... really very pain if never do........

anyway if all goes well, he can be discharged the following day.......

the stent was put in thru ercp.... this is done so that 1) the stone can flow out 2) to lessen the pain. This is because the surgery will not be immediate, there should be a month or 2 of waiting time.

After surgery, there will be another ERCP to remove the stent.

AFter surgery, i was up and running after 2-3days........ you want to see the scar....

Thanks for the 'visual' offer, but i will skip that..

Neutral Newbie

you are welcome.

i dont have anything like 'stent' that was inserted before the surgery....i went thru an ultrasound scan 2 wks before the surgery instead. doctor only mentioned can be done by keyhole or normal surgery...but my bill was rather expensive, and only can claim very little from medisave, becos of private hospital.
