Magfocus 5th Gear June 25, 2002 Share June 25, 2002 Feeling of 15" to 16" can see different obviously. If I change 16" to 17" sure need the low profile tyre as well, and actual overall size is smaller than 16"....So U want to see my supension label after the 17"!!? Same for me, the overall size for my 16" are smaller than the 15"!! but do you want the wheels for looks or for handling? More like both right? ↡ Advertisement
Sparetyre Neutral Newbie June 25, 2002 Share June 25, 2002 Hmm..sticking to your present set? Stock were already 16", no point change to 17" right....unless 18" [angelic] What is your Mondy's tyre profile now? Does 18" requires 30 series rubber? Sparetyre Neutral Newbie June 25, 2002 Share June 25, 2002 18" for 40mm . 40 series you mean? Since you are considering to change your suspension, 40 series may not be a good choice. Quite hard on the backside right?

So, U think 17" better handling comapred to 18"? Ok, i mean the overall compromise would be better. 18" would def cause a decrease in acceleration for starters. And since the Mondy's handling is excellent to begin with, a simple change to 17" would enhance both the looks and the handling. Not to mention during tyre change time, it would be alot cheaper!!! Fuel economy would deteriorate, increase wear in suspension components etc..you know the rest
