XC60?

Went for a short test drive on last Sunday. Power delivery was good and for a Volvo SUV handling was nimble and very good, at least compare to my XC90, which is a little ponderous.

Interior quality was also good, enough gadgets to entertain. Befitting the status of the newest Volvo on the market.

Tried out the CITY SAFE, whereby the car's electronics will brake for you in the event of iminent collision. First time when getting closed instintively attempted to brake, 2nd time jus left the system alone to function as it is. Both times come to a shuddering halt in front of the obstacle.

Priced at $172000, incl of $5000 acc. Can choose to omit than will be $167000.

Think the 1st shipment all accounted for, deliveries, subj to LTA homologation process will be from mid december onwards. Next shipment around Jan.

was offered $159K. but after looking at OMV, first 3 years easily going to loss $80K!

Haha bro a fairer price will be around 160k la, for a OMV of 45k and judging by the price of the competition. From the pics posted on SGcarmart, equipment level looks reasonable despite the presence of some dummy buttons.

for a car with OMV 45K, it should not be priced any higher than 150K...and tat is for a newly launched car..if its been out for quite sometime alr, it shld not even be going at anything abv 142-143K..

No lah, every now and then itch so now itch again so ask ask a bit.

No money to buy, only dreaming....

I was thinking of moving from Suntec food cout to Marina foodcourt leh....

Nicer environment in Marina foodcourt I think.

If really no good maybe move to Beach Road hawker center. sigh

A lot of 10 cent coins to pick at foodcourt ah? [flowerface] I also want to be foodcourt cleaner. [:p]

still got pple wanna buy SUV, even though they're fuel-inefficient,

roll more, and much easier to roll over in accidents.

sure: want pretty, don't want life.

but it's usually a female trait,

especially the choice of a SUV,

mainly for ladies to feel "safer" as

they are seated higher than other cars.

hhhmmm, that's an interesting concept.

do women really think this way?

I thought SUV is for people who like sporty looks and require some space.

For me, i just feel the XC60 has very neat lines and being Volvo , good built.

compared to many other SUVs, it's probably the coolest looking currently.

Mazda CX7 also quite nice but (let's be honest) built wise totally no fight for Volvo.

haha, true true. It would take a foolish man to buy a "boutique" newly launched volvo in these uncertain times.

unfourtnately the XC 60 is really a beautiful car. In 2nd -3rd year, surely many will be tempted

the only worry i have is servicing and repair. Volvo is not a popular brand so it would be costly to find parts for it in outside workshops. Just pray u dont have to replace many parts due to wear and tear

Can check out volvoclubsg for info on workshops..quite a few i believe. Been seeing quite a lot of Volvos on our road, believe Volvo cars r gainiing popularity after they broke out of their 'Boxy' image. [thumbsup]

I went down to see the XC60. Very sleak, but I still prefer the XC90 7 seaters.

I have been eyeing but too bad, there isn't much newer 2nd hand on the market - its always that same few ones prowling for buyers.

I started comparing the XC60 with Q5 (just launched), it seems to be a tough choice . . . .

I am tempted too....wasn't that keen on the previous T6 XC60 but this 2.0lT engine is just right.

However, I am not willing to part $178k for it.
