hi guys,

My ride just which 14mths old.. recently i encounter my HID/cabin light flicker when i drive for sometime. normally on idling quite obvious. ON and OFF.. is it due to my 14mths old batt? buti measure at 12.4V before start and after 14V+..

can someone enlighten me? is it possible for batt to weaken even tho the voltage is at 12V+?

the battery only operates to crank ur vehicle, nothing more nothing less

check ur alternator

I think headlights/HU and other electrical things are powered by battery. alternator is used to charge battery.

the whole night after i changed my batt. no flicker at all.

So conclusion: even though our batt show 12V and 14V.. it will still weaken when its more then 1 yr old... :)

Battery is used to crank the starter motor and get your engine running(main purpose) and also provide power to your car accessories when engine NOT running. Obviously this depletes the battery juice fast.

Once engine is running, the alterator provides the power to all the car electrical needs + charges the battery. [sunny]

Yes u r right. What I mean is, battery is not totally useless when engine is running.

battery supply electricity as a buffer when alternator supply is not enough.
