Maxus-MIFA9 Supersonic December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 (edited) Today ST reported that the price of oil had dropped to US$34/- per barrel even after OPEC had agreed to drop daily production by 2.2 million per day from January 2009 ........ Prediction from expert that the oil would drop further to about US$20/- per barrel ...... KNN ....... our oil kartels still did not drop their pump prices since the last drop 2 weeks ago (around US$47/- per barrel)....... My tank is now slightly more than 1/4 tank and waiting for it to drop yesterday but no news of falling prices...... . Don't like the feeling after refuelling at old price in the morning and they adjust the pump price in the evening as I ever kana twice last month ..... Shell, Shell, Shell...... where are you? .... Why don't you start the ball rolling first .... Edited December 20, 2008 by Picnic06 ↡ Advertisement

Chickensoup 1st Gear December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 Shell and other oil companies dont buy their crude oil from supermarkets. They have contracts and if these contracts are signed within the last one year, their cost of product is still high.

Jubilong 2nd Gear December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 And what about our utility charges? increase 21% to oil price of $155 and announced next revision down 24% effectively only revise 3%. Now that oil has gone down below $40 shouldn't the revision be more.

Blue850r Clutched December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 We have heard many such excuses from Ministries before rite? One moment they said our country is not solely dependent on USA market so we wont be hit hard if USA market is not good. But what is happening now? Openly admit we are in recession! Seevic Neutral Newbie December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 Let me guess. If the price really does drop again, - Shell will be the 1st to drop. Again & Always. - The drop will be 5cts. Again & Always.

Renegade777 5th Gear December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 Cannot like that say even you wanted to be treated like a carrot cake. TS is just showing his stand. Petrol at highest is $140/- per barrel and now only $35/- per barrel. Petrol has drop more than 70% and yet we not getting the appropriate discount. Go calculate and see how much more you are paying every time you pump which could be use to buy gu ni hoon or even translate to good savings for the family. Felt that someone sould step in and protect consumers interest but it is the opposite way instead.

Blue850r Clutched December 20, 2008 Share December 20, 2008 Petrol pump price $1.20 = USD20 a barrel (few years back) Petrol pump price $2.40 = USD 140 a barrel (Few months back) Seems that petrol price difference is about $1.20 between high and low, also the price is barrel differs by USD120. Looks like we can assume $0.10 adjustment in pump price for every USD10 up/down in barrel price. So if based on USD40 a barrel, our pump price now should be $1.40. Considering the discount given by petrol station, it is about correct. ↡ Advertisement
