Ghostrider 3rd Gear December 28, 2008 Share December 28, 2008 Pour whole bottle into fuel tank then top up with petrol lor.... But you need to ram the engine for it to have any effect....if you gonna do normal gentle driving....can forget it. Not gonna make a diff. Best is pour liao...go NSH and whack to rid the carbon. Genie47 1st Gear December 29, 2008 Share December 29, 2008 Take my experience. Don't need to do it. Got problems? Change all the injectors. Tell the mechanic to return you the injectors. Go to Riverview to have them ultrasonically cleaned and then keep the old injectors as your "remanufactured" standby injectors. Drive around with the new injectors until they start crapping out, install the old injectors and clean the ones installed prior. Save money and don't give them to STP or any company that sells this kind of excreta.

Ghostrider 3rd Gear December 31, 2008 Share December 31, 2008 Keep a set of same sized injectors ? I think for most SG drivers...before the old injector craps out, car already change liao.

Eviltrap 2nd Gear January 6, 2009 Share January 6, 2009 (edited) Hi, Anyone use STP complete fuel system cleaner? Is it effective? How to use? Thank you. Tried it before. Well, pickup was smoother for the 1st 1-2K km. After that, back to normal. FC slightly improved for a while too. Costs about S$25.50 per bottle. After that, I pumped V-power and Caltex Platinum. Same effect, but cheaper compared to paying 20 bucks for a bottle. However, I find Caltex Platinum is better in clearing carbon compared to V-power. I'm into my 3rd tank after pumping Caltex Platinum and FC still slightly better. But acceleration is back to being sluggish. V-power by 2nd tank back to normal. So I would recommend pumping Caltex Platinum rather than putting STP Complete Fuel System Cleaner in. Cheaper, and you get the same result. You can make it a point to pump it once a month if you clock about 2500km per month or every 4th tank. I think it's good enough. Not sure how some of the bros here will do. Different people, different style. Edited January 6, 2009 by Eviltrap

I find our petrol quality in SG is rather good, all these cleaning IMO.. i rather a waste of $$ Just regular servicing should be good enough ? ↡ Advertisement
