Meadelx200 1st Gear January 13, 2009 Share January 13, 2009 I upgraded my XMV8 to PP2 last July wih slightly wider width. Can feel it is more stable cornering and better grip, better wet traction, as quiet as the XMV8 but rather expensive at S$230/tyre for a 16". In term of steering feel, hard/soft feel, grip and noise etc. Was researching on the PP2 as well. Some say the performance is on par to cheaper tires like Falken 912 or BS GR80 ! macrosszero Turbocharged January 14, 2009 Share January 14, 2009 I'm on my second set of PP2. What I've found with PP2 is not so much outright grip like AD07, RE01R or RS2, but more of all-weather dependability. In that sporty driving class of tires, it has a lot of treads almost as many grooves as a regular treaded tire like GR80 etc. From dry to soaking wet conditions, PP2 retains its grip and handling characteristics much better than other comparable tires. In most standing puddles, it simply cuts through and expels the water out the sides, rather than having the steering go light for a split second. It feels very confident in all conditions, unlike some tires that have less treading - they'd give you all the grip when its dry, and go to pieces when the roads are wet. The drawbacks are that it is noisy. It costs quite a bit also. It wears quite fast as well. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Like what most bros here have said - Good grip in dry and wet, fairly comfortable with progressive feedback and steering feel. More an accomplished All-Rounder than a high performance tyre. Deividz 5th Gear February 23, 2009 Share February 23, 2009 I was on PP2 on my last car. Really loved it esp during rainy days. Just bought a 2nd hand car and currently on Eagle F1. Very noisy tire.
