Mikeyeo Clutched January 14, 2009 Share January 14, 2009 I know of many vehicle owners who are either sceptical of unsure as to whether run-off-the-shelf fuel additives actually function in our vehicles everyday, working situations, and if the benefits offset any additional costs? Well, I came across the above article and thought I should share the following information with fellow forumers. "So you ↡ Advertisement

Ghostrider 3rd Gear January 14, 2009 Share January 14, 2009 My take on this kinda fuel saver formula is simple... Additive = X amount of $ 1 litre of petrol can travel Y km distance. You buy one bottle...make sure it covers at least the amount of Y distance for the same amount of $$ if its on petrol alone. Eg...1 bottle cost $10 additive. 1 litre covers 10km. $1/Litre (cost of petrol). Make sure you get at least a extra 100km out of the additive lor....if not spend the money on 10 litre of petrol makes more sense. For cleaning....I still believe if you pour one bottle of cleaner into your fuel and drive normally...it ain't gonna help. I usually pour 1 bottle of STP fuel injector cleaner just before I send for servicing....then I will drive the car hard for that tank...best if bring to NSH for a high speed blast...after that come back...engine is sibeh smooth. Just my personal views.... ↡ Advertisement
